SUMMER NOSTALGIA • Nostalgia is currently fueling many trends, and summer icons are no exception. This direction features a California and travel inspired vintage vibe. Icons include a continuation of seasonal and tropical fruits - including citrus and pineapples. Popsicles, retro daisies, sunsets, palm trees, beach balls and surf boards are also spotlighted. • Balance of saturated brights and muted pastels with sunset brights and vivid greens. • Fonts are fun, bold and retro inspired. Food labels and graphics as well as vintage travel posters influence the typography in this trend.

HOMESTEAD BLOOMS • Grand millenial florals and painted motifs inform this country inspired direction. Vintage patterns and chintz icons are utilized here to tell a romantic story. • Colors are inspired by floral midtones - rich reds, magenta pink and orchid purples. Vintage china inspires inky blues and gold metallic accents. • Fonts are romantic with vintage heritage types and ornate scripts.

• Icons are imperfect and include pumpkins in their usual palette with hand-painted or stamped quality. Witches appear as silhouettes, reminiscent of antique cameos. Complement these designs with vintage and country-inspired twists on other classic Halloween icons.

• This direction shifts Halloween from spooky to cozy with a focus on the outdoors and crafted accents. Outdoor settings are highlighted, with inviting decor from pumpkin patches to festive Fall florals.

• Typography for this direction has a byhand appeal, appearing knitted, crocheted or quilted, or simply handwritten in a purposefully imperfect script. Use stylized fonts to bring a sense of personality and character to designs.

• Spiders, skulls and bats are bold and graphic, rendered with either realistic details or as minimalist silhouettes. Stylize iconic Halloween monsters, from vampires to mummies, in a graphic, pop-art way, alluding to retro movie posters. Use all-over bright colors to contrast the bold black lines.

• Mix colors, finishes and eras for a fresh, creative take on Halloween styling, rooted in classic design elements. Both traditonal and some unexpected colors show up such as orange and pumpkins colored in pinks and blues. Black and white gives a modern feel.
