Train with KC Running Company KCRC GROUPIES KC Running Company has a regular schedule of free group runs at both stores. All levels of runners/walkers are welcome! Groupie run participants also save 20% off most full priced merchandise in the store. Follow the KC Running Company Groupies Facebook page and training calendar for updates. ROCK THE PARKWAY GROUPIE RUNS The FREE 2016 Rock the Parkway Groupie Runs are each Sunday at 7 am at the Leawood KC Running Company store (4760 W 135th St, Leawood, KS) until race day, April 9, 2016. Rock the Parkway Groupie Runs are designed to work for people of all fitness levels, whether you are running the 5K or half marathon, and the course will be well marked each week and supplied with periodic aid stations. Groupie runs are free, but you must register to participate runsignup.com/rtpgroupieruns

April races Run for 1 5K - April 2 at 10:00am at Community America Ballpark, Kansas City, KS The RunFor1 5K supports two Kansas City based organizations, Restoration House and Exodus Cry which focuses on the abolition of human trafficking. All funds raised through the event will fund their efforts in rescuing, protecting and counseling women who have been trafficked both locally and internationally. At the event, kids fun run participants will get to run the bases and get their picture with the T-Bones mascot, Sizzle! Sign up for the race here. Rock the Parkway Half Marathon & 5K - April 9 at 7:30am at Burns & McDonnell in Kansas City, MO. View featured race page or view website. Noah’s Crown Town 5K - April 23 at 7:30am, Corporate Woods, Overland Park, KS Participate in this new race to raise money for Noah’s Bandage Project, which has two goals – to help provide cool and fun bandages to kids that need them, and to help raise funds for pediatric cancer research. Be a part of the fun at this family oriented event at Corporate Woods in OP and maybe you will get a chance to meet Noah's friend, Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer, who will be in attendance! Independence Park Trot - April 30, 8:00am at Waterfall Park, Independence, MO Independence 5K Run/Walk is a free event that aims to promote increased use and access of the City's parks and trails. We hope you enjoy this family-friendly event and want to spend more time visiting the many parks and trails Independence has to offer! Learn more and register here. Tower to Tower 5K - April 30 at 8:00am at WaterOne, Lenexa, KS Celebrate National Drinking Water Week with WaterOne and the City of Olathe at the Tower 2 Tower 5K. This new event supports Water For People, a non-profit that works to bring clean, safe, drinking water to communities in other countries who need it most. The course goes from Lenexa’s WaterOne water tower at Olathe’s water tower. Learn more about the event and register here.
