By starting only with an ambiguous sentence, the designer conveyed a sense of mystery, unique perspective and the opportunity to produce a finished book based on the idea and suggestions given in the first page and sentence.

Creating Archetypes Given a time period and a selection of three different archetypal characters, the illustrator builds background story for the characters as well as creating a unique look for each character.

is not only the rich history behind Devil’s Canyon, Oklahoma that is fascinating but also the shear untouched beauty of the landscape of this property. The history of Devil‘s Canyon dates back to the time of Spanish exploration and a long lost buried treasure, that has yet to be found by many a treasure hunter, to the Lewis and Clark expedition, some of the first battles between cowboys and Indians and a personal family farm and homestead that has been passed down through the Winters’ family for generations.
