City Introduction N
olanville is centrally located in beautiful Bell County, Texas, about two hours south of Dallas and one hour north of Austin, nestled between Belton Lake and Stillhouse Hollow Lake. While Nolanville is an older community (settled prior to 1850), it is a “crossroads community with a younger than average population. Most residents work in the manufacturing, retail, construction and service industries. Nearby Fort Hood, the largest single employer in Texas, employs both army personnel and civilians. Housing is fairly affordable and home ownership is higher than the U.S. average.

WELCOME!
N
olanville is heavily influenced by nearby Fort Hood military base and is proud to be called “a great place to live” by the diverse military and civilian families who live along her tree-lined streets. Within her city limits can be found urban and rural areas and it is not unusual to see cattle, horses, goats, and sheep grazing in her green pastures as well as an occasional deer, fox, coyote or feral hog. Nolanville is designated a Keep Texas Beautiful Gold Star Affiliate and is a Certified Scenic City. Neighborhood schools are modern and well-equipped with dedicated and involved staff. Opportunities for higher education are offered by University of Mary Hardin-
Baylor, Texas A&M University Central Texas, and Central Texas College - all within 13 miles of the city. Nearby Stillhouse and Belton Lakes host a variety of recreational activities including boating, fishing, swimming, camping, skiing, and hiking. In town, the J.W. Sims Community Center is a central meeting place for area residents with a wellequipped kitchen and recently updated restrooms. Nolanville is proud of its newly-developed Monarch Park featuring a covered playground equipment area, scent garden, splash pad, basketball court, picnic areas, walking trails and a multi-use facility with restrooms and snack bar facilities. A sports field is in the planning and bidding stage. Small pocket
parks are scattered throughout the city; walking and bicycling are highly encouraged. Nolanville is focused on building a thriving city while preserving its small town atmosphere with citizen volunteers and an energetic city staff working together to keep Nolanville “A Great Place to Live.”
