If Vinnie wanted a baby with Cour tney then she told him he had to propose . But if Cour tney wanted a r ing, and she did because she wanted a baby too, then Vinnie countered that she had to agree to getting a cat AND a dog. And so a r ing was designed, a knee dropped to, Kobe Frederick and Gigi Millicent joined the family and a wedding was had...

Tradition “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe.” My something old was the pearl jewelry I wore. The pearl bracelet was given to me by my Paternal Grandparents, and my pearl earrings were given to me on my twenty first birthday by my maternal grandparents. My something new was my wedding dress by Hera Couture, who also made my custom head piece. My something borrowed was my Aunty Karen’s (Mum’s sister) veil from her wedding in 1982 to Uncle John. My something blue was my Great Nana’s (Dad’s Mum’s mum) gold and opal necklace that I inherited when she passed away just the month before our wedding. Opals were my Great Nana’s favorite gem and they have always reminded me of her. I had the necklace sewn into my bouquet so she was still there with me during the day.
To Courtney and Vinnie, marriage is a promise, to stand together as a team - day in and day out, no matter what comes their way. Not out of duty, but because they want to, because happiness is sweeter with someone by your side, and life’s storms are more easily weathered with someone there to anchor you. It’s also a way of saying ‘my family is your family’. Vinnie and Courtney wouldn’t be the people they are today without you all. And that’s why it’s so important to them to share this moment with you today.
Courtney’s Vows Vinnie, it was with two words, Team Taylor, that I knew I had to match with you, and so with a right swipe and the lyrics “Nice to meet you where you been? I can show you incredible things” our story began. On our first date you talked my ears off, on our second date we went out for pizza, and on our third date we watched Disney movies. And I feel that these first days of our relationship still sum us up pretty well. I knew I loved you early on in our relationship. It was the culmination of events around some surgery I was about to have. You had been so considerate of my medical condition and so caring and thoughtful, but it was when I woke from surgery and there you were with a can of coke zero and a pair of Peter Alexander Disney PJs for me that I knew I loved you, and that you would take care of me and accept me for who I was, my quirks and all. Then, it was after a night lost in rural California with broken headlights, heavy snow fall and no tyre chains or cell phone service, a dishevelled man on a bulldozer blocking the road and fears of murder where you distracted me by playing One Direction music and harnessing your natural ability to never shut up that I knew we made our own perfect team, and that you were the one I wanted to marry. And that night on those roads while I was meant to be focusing on the roads and our safety that I started to write these vows. So here we stand today, officially becoming our own team, Team Wylie. I hope I have lived up to my very first promise to you, of showing you incredible things in the time we have spent together, and I vow to continue to show and share with you incredible things. I vow to drive, you crazy and the car. I vow to sing along to all the songs no matter what they are, no matter where we are. I vow to kiss you every day and tell you I love despite the fact you will screw your face up. I vow to be a devoted wife who will cherish you and everything you are. As your wife, I promise to love you with the same determination and confidence you’ve given me. I promise to always remember that you are indeed human. That you may sometimes make questionable decisions, decisions I don’t agree with, like filling our home with pops, buying interesting art, your V consumption, booking tickets to every single Delta Goodrem concert, not trying sushi in Japan, or refusing to acknowledge that dressing gowns are the best item of clothing. But also you get concert tickets for me too, you indulge me by buying me dressing gowns, Disney pops, and coke zero. You let me paint the bedroom pink and encourage me to potter in the garden even though you think its modern day torture. And sometimes you even convince me that your crazy ideas are the best ideas, like getting Kobe and Gigi who I could not imagine life without now so thank you. What I love about you is I know that you do these things because you are so unashamedly you, and you insist on enjoying life rather than marching to the beat of others and you encourage me to do the same. I am amazed by your inquisitive mind and entertained by your questionable sense of humour every day. Vinnie, since you came into my life there had been more laughter than ever, and I feel my worst times have ended. You bring me hope, you give me strength and you make me feel like I am deserving of our happiness. Because of you I dare to dream more than I ever have. Marrying you, committing the rest of my life to you, it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. I love you. We are a team, you, Kobe, Gigi and I, so here’s to Team Wylie and the wonderful things still to come.
Vincent’s Vows Courtney, A little over four years ago, I swiped right to a picture of a pretty girl on a longboard with a cute dog. The dog wasn’t yours and I’ve still never seen you use a longboard but, as I’m often reminded by some of the people in this room, you are indeed the fairer half. You may have literally ran away from me after our first date - the weather apparently - but 1542 days later here we are. No need for an encore...Julia Roberts beat you to it. Whether it’s attending the latest concert - back when that was still a thing; hoarding airpoints because Mitre 10 is the new overseas holiday or buying Kobe and Gigi yet another toy we have a lot of shared interests and passions. We also have our differences. Your vice is Coke Zero, mine is V. And one of us was happier with the election result. But we respect each other’s differences, we always talk it over and agree that I was right on the velvet curtains and you were right to relieve me of painting duties. Courtney, you are loving, caring, thoughtful, dedicated, creative, hard-working and resilient and I could not imagine my life now without you by my side. You are my equal, you do pull your hair too much and I’m lucky to know you. I promise to love and support you, to respect you, and back you to achieve your dreams, unless it involves you singing. We all have our limits. I commit to keeping the cat singlet you wish I would throw out and will strive to tell you if I’ve bought a new Funko Pop or pair of basketball shoes...eventually. I never thought I would become somebody’s husband but I’m excited to be your husband. After all, LeBron’s got four rings, Kobe’s got five and Ariana Grande has seven...provided the boys haven’t lost it...one is enough for me.
Pocahontas -
If I never knew you If I never knew you If I never felt this love I would have no inkling of How precious life can be If I never held you I would never have a clue How at last I'd find in you The missing part of me And I'm so grateful to you I'd have lived my whole life through Lost forever If I never knew you
Falling in love is like owning a dog BY TAYLOR MALI On cold winter nights, love is warm. It lies between you and lives and breathes and makes funny noises. Love can wake you up all hours of the night with its needs. Love can give you a sense of security: When you’re walking down the street late at night and you have a leash on love, ain’t no one gonna mess with you. Love needs to be fed so it will grow and stay healthy. Love does not like being left alone for long. But come home and love is always happy to see you. Love may break a few things accidentally in its passion for life, but you can never be mad at love for long. Love leaves you little surprises here and there. Love makes messes. Sometimes you just want to get love fixed. Sometimes you want to roll up a piece of newspaper and swat love on the nose, But then love gives you big kisses, And you laugh at the little things. Sometimes love just wants to play. Running you around the block, leaving you panting. It pulls you in several different directions at once, or winds around and around you, until you’re all wound up and can’t move. And love brings you together. People who have nothing in common but love stop and talk and greet each other on the street. Most importantly, love needs love, and lots of it. And in return, love loves you and loves you and never stops.
