‘Between the World and Me’ is a 2015 nonfiction book written by American author Ta-Nehisi Coates and published by Spiegel & Grau. It was written by Coates as a letter to his thenteenage son about his perception of what the feelings, symbolism, and realities associated withbeingBlackintheUnitedStatesare.
This is one of my personal favorite books because a lot of the themes really resonate withme Defentlyagreatread!
‘And So We Put Goldfish in the Pool’ is a 2017 short film directed by Makoto Nagahisa Based on a true story about four 15-year-old girls in Japan who put 400 goldfish in a swimming pool, this short explores coming-of-age while being trapped in a small town and the existentialismthatcancomefromit.
I rewatched this film when I was visiting my grandparents in Japan two weeks ago, and I encourage you all to check it out if you have a sparehalfhour!
