Do It Yourself! Thessaloniki 1-8 December 2013
Do It Youself! Ones upon a time in Thessaloniki (Greece), there was held a youth exchange called «Do it yourself». The theme of this project was creative recycling and the aim was our 43 participants to “cultivate” the perception of respect and protection towards the environment, while in the same time to develop their creativity and entrepreneurship; in this way they learned how to convert rubbish and useless objects into useful and beautiful creations. The exchange last seven days (1-8.12.2013) and it took place in Halkidona of Thessaloniki. In their weekly agenda was included the following activities and methods: energizers, group buildings, brainstorming sessions, workshops about jewelry and accessories, transmutation of clothes and shoes as well as workshops for creating small seasonal and decorative items. We had an exhibition of our creations in our Hotel and almost 200 students and teachers attended to this event. Our participants were from the following countriesNGOs: Greece-Youth Power, Bulgaria-Pro European Network, Czech Republic- European Youth Centre Břeclav, Lithuania-Krantas, Romania-Do Great Things Association and France-Eurocircle.
