Crazy
Problematic
I just want to say that I am a fan of Crazy ExGirlfriend. I love that this show has given a spotlight to my hometown. However, I’ve noticed that the show tends to highlight only one part of the city (aka the richer areas with less POC). It’s really frustrating to see your neighborhood be erased on a show that takes place in such a small city like mine. This show fittingly acts like a surreal fantasy, because I don’t recognize the city that I grew up in at all. Even if it’s set in West Covina, it’s still so Hollywood.
