Aida and Rigoletto plus Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia, our own two shows, tours of Canberra and Sydney plus historic houses.
• Two of Verdi’s greatest operas presented by Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House: Aida and Rigoletto. These operas are famous for their soaring melodies and massive vibrant choruses. We enjoy premium seats at both productions.
• Even more music with the beloved stage production of Beauty and the Beast again in premium seats, and our own two concerts: The Greatest Song Ever Written, full of beautiful melody, waltzes, ballads and famous songs from around the world: and A European Romance, featuring more Verdi, Puccini and other great opera composers.
• We have also just added Mamma Mia to the list of great shows we will be seeing. This feel-good show is based on the music of ABBA.
• Day tour to Canberra, including Australian War Memorial and a tour of Parliament Buildings.
• Tour of Sydney Opera House.
• Tour historic properties of the National Trust: Old Government House and Vaucluse House.
• Driving tour of Sydney including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, The Rocks and Royal Botanic Gardens plus visits to Sydney Aquarium and Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum.
• Six nights’ accommodation at the 5-star luxury Langham Hotel.

MONDAY 19 JUNE 2023 (L,D)
Highlights Include:
• We depart from Auckland (Wgtn/Chch departures available on request).
• Lunch, before a backstage tour of the Sydney Opera House, with a focus on the history and architecture of the building and access to the main theatres.
• Tonight we present our welcome dinner and concert from our hosts entitled, The Greatest Song Ever Written full of beautiful melody, waltzes, ballads and famous songs from around the world.
TUESDAY 20 JUNE 2023 (B)
Highlights Include:
• Driving tour of Sydney including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, The Rocks and Royal Botanic Gardens.
• Tour to the Sydney Aquarium and Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum and free time to wander around Darling Harbour.
• Tonight after dinner (own cost) we will be transferred to the Opera House to enjoy Rigoletto, Verdi’s amazing opera filled with famous tunes including the Rigoletto Quartet and full blooded choruses.
WEDNESDAY 21 JUNE 2023 (B,D)
Highlights Include:
• Full free day to enjoy shopping, visit some friends or explore the wonderful city at your leisure.
• Light dinner before our opera this evening.
• The second of our great operas at the Sydney Opera House: Aida, Verdi’s grandest opera, which includes the famous Triumphal March.
THURSDAY 22 JUNE 2023 (B,L)
Highlights Include:
• After breakfast we board our coach and head off on our full day tour to Canberra.
• Our Canberra City tour will include the Australian War Memorial, Parliament Buildings and a drive along Lake Burley Griffin which is Canberra’s manmade lake.
• We arrive back at the hotel after a long day with the rest of the evening at leisure.
FRIDAY 23 JUNE 2023 (B,L)
Highlights Include:
• Tour two historic properties of the National Trust, firstly, Old Government House, the oldest surviving building in Australia completed in 1799, which stands in 200 acres of parkland overlooking historic Parramatta.
• Vaucluse House, one of Sydney’s few 19th-century mansions still surrounded by its original gardens. Before our tour we are treated to a delicious lunch at the famous garden tearooms.
• We enjoy our magical theatrical and musical performance of Beauty and the Beast.
SATURDAY 24 JUNE 2023 (B,D)
Highlights Include:
• Free time on Sat before we enjoy our matinee of Mamma Mia, based on the music of ABBA.
• We will meet in the foyer this evening to be transported to the beautiful historic ballroom for our final dinner and music concert: A European Romance in keeping with the operas and music including some more Verdi and other great opera composers.
SUNDAY 25 JUNE 2023 (B)

• We leave Sydney after a fantastic time of wonderful music, fun, laughter, new friends and amazing memories!

This tour will suit people with a stick, but not a walker. You will be required to walk to get from place to place and stand in museums, but it is designed to be an easy tour with lots of times to rest, travel on a coach and walk easy leisurely distances.
