02 Stool 219C

Stool 219C was the first year project which needed to understand the form, function and feeling of the design. Another requirement on this project was to design the furniture that could fit Vitra’s design style and learn to use Pantone code for colouring.

03 Button Shelf

Button Shelf is a lso a project for sma l l space living. It is a great choice for student accommodations and small families. Button Shelf allows you to hang your clothes with movable wooden hangers. You can also place some items on the top of the shelf. When you don’t need the hangers, just push them all back for a clean look or you can have a play by leaving them at different positions.

04 Mood Table

This is the project for entering 2016 RSA Student Design Rewards- Creative Condition. Mood Table is an interactive table for kids and their parents. It allows users to recognise emotions in a visual way. Children can mix and match the transparent facial acrylic pieces with the colours they prefer. Instead of telling our children red represents angry, why not letting them decide which colour to match and explain their own reason. This is how creativity generates. Also, they can use the imagination to create their own games with these acrylic pieces. Furniture - Mood Table

01 LED Training Bracelet

LED Training Bracelet is a competitive project assigned by the design company Green Room, which has cooperated with the university. Each student would receive three design elements randomly chosen by the computer. Nike, product and technology were the three words for this project. LED Training Bracelet is designed for recording training results and sharing them with family members. If one of the users forgets to do trainings for too long, that person’s bracelet will keep flashing until the training has been done. Also, users can check other’s result and compete with each other at anytime. This may arouse the motivation for doing more sports.doing more sports.

Nike is a worldwide sport band which is well known of targeting consumers that usually exercise. However, nowadays people tend to have a busier life sitting down in front of their computer for a whole day. Lying on the bed is the only thi ng that they want to do as soon as getting back home. Everyone understands that this is an unhealthy life, but it’s hard to have a step out. To discover more potential customers, a product which can motivate more work outs may be a great choice for Nike to work with. The main goal for this project is to create a multifunctional interior product which is targeting people who don’t exercise much, but decide to make a change. The second goal would be creating a connection between the bracelet and Nike’s existing apps like Nike+.

LED bracelet is ava i la ble with five colours. Users can set their own colours on the touch screen or smart phones. It can collect the distance, time and other data from the exercise experience. All the information will be shown on the screen with Nike's app. This product is recommended to use with the whole family. All the members can set up a mutual goal and compete with each other. If someone forgets or unable to do sports for too long, that person's bracelet wi l l keep flashing unti l the tasks are done. It is easier to build a new habit on exercising with more people participating at the same time, especially someone you love.

02 Ceramics

Two sets of works were created in the ceramic workshop during the second year course. The workshop has provided a chance explori ng through the techniques like moulding and casting. The fi rst set i ncl udes two ti ny bowls for jewelleries. The shape was inspired by Stool 219C and one of the bowls has wooden legs sprayed in the exact purple just like it. The second set includes two vases in different shapes. They were casted from bottles and balls. Some bamboo fibre sheets have been applied on the bottles in order to add extra textures when casting the vase.
