The student association, National Society of Leadership and Success, and the leadership conference connects you with your peers while the initiatives created through the Office of Career Services such as mock interview days, virtual career fairs, and the career management software system CareerLink, puts you in touch with prospective employers. Upon graduation, you’ll have access to a number of events, such as summer and spring outings, multi-campus events that bridge alumni from other CUNY schools, coffee with our dean, and alumni engagement council meetings. Additionally, our social media channels give you 24/7 access to different members of our community.
Credit for Prior Learning Transfer up to 105 credits through prior learning and work experience There’s more than one way to earn credit toward your degree. We offer a number of Credit for Prior Learning opportunities for undergraduates that make it possible to earn credit for your previous education and workplace training. For example, we accept credits from other regionally accredited institutions, corporate or military training programs, and college level exam programs. We also help you identify ways to earn credit for knowledge gained outside the classroom through the development of a portfolio. Our tuition is among the lowest in New York State, and all students enrolled in an online program pay the in state tuition rate. A CUNY education costs a fraction of private school tuition. Our financial aid counselors will work with you to combine federal and state funds, scholarships, grants, loans, or veteran’s benefits to help you pay for your education.
Application Process Our undergraduate programs are designed to meet the needs of adult students who are returning to college, some after many years, to finish a bachelor’s degree. In order to be considered for admission, you will need: Transcript(s) with a minimum of 24 credits from a regionally accredited institution A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher* Basic skill requirements in reading, writing, and math Personal essay $70 non-refundable application fee To get started, visit sps.cuny.edu/admissions, choose the undergraduate application, and follow the directions to apply. Our admissions counselors will help you with any questions you might have during the process. Note: There are additional requirements for Nursing programs.
