Fundraising for Books We know education has hit hard times when the library has zero funds to buy books. However, hard times or not, our kids need books to sustain their reading comprehension skills, vocabulary acquisition, to continue to learn about the world around them, and since there is a direct correlation between
school success and reading, I will continue to do what I can to raise funds so we have new books for our kids. So far this year, we held a book fair, and we just finished Buffalo Wild Wings Night, too. The profits from these will buy about 30 new books. I thank you for your support, for buying books, food,

THANKS TO THOSE WHO HAVE AND WILL SUPPORT THE LIBRARY ! and for continuing to buy Blow Pops-yes that helps, too. In addition to fundraising, we are taking book donations. If you have a gently used book appropriate for our kids, I’d love to have it. Thank you again!

Don’t Forget About the Multiple Uses of the Library! Need a place to work during your Plan Period or Collaboration Time? You are welcome here. It’s quiet, you have access to a printer, restroom, microwave, coffee, copier, Mr. Garvey (aka TECH GUY), Mrs. Laipple (Instruction Coach) and myself. Need a larger place to teach or need me to teach a lesson or help with a small group? Remember the library is available, too.You have access to a screen for direct teaching, and you have the ability to put students in to smaller groups, spread throughout the library. Remember to notify me a few days in advance of arrival. NEXT TO THE GYM, THE LIBRARY IS THE LARGEST LEARNING SPACE AT BENTON
