THE DAME BEHIND THE NAME

Kim was recently featured in Voyage Dallas Magazine, a notable e-publication, highlighting featured artists within the Dallas area. At first, she was speechless. Then she couldn't stop talking about it. For Kim, this was more than free marketing or being noticed.

This was validation. WHY WAS THIS ARTICLE SO IMPORTANT TO YOU? I think everyone questions their purpose. When I actually

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED SO FAR IN THIS JOURNEY? To trust my gut. Everyone will not understand my work, but I do have a great eye for what sells. My history proves that I am really capable. I've worked more on the communication of why I did something instead of just changing my staging because someone didn't agree with it.

MEET:

PETER HEISE INTERVIEWED BY KELLY STARK

Long-time friend and preferred Lender, Peter Heise, can easily be summed up in one word: Selfless. Peter is extremely professional, timely and truly supports the people in his "network." A great friend and business partner, Peter Heise is someone everyone should know.

How did you get started in Lending? I always knew that at some point I was going to be involved in real estate-I just didn’t know when and how. I made the transition in late 2005 after talking to a good friend of mine, who was a realtor. Together we came up with the idea that I was cut out for the financing end of things. I had another friend that was in the industry and I spoke with him about joining his group and then we were off and running.

What is one thing you love about your job? The best part of my job is when I feel I’ve really helped someone out that for whatever reason, doesn’t fit cleanly in the “box”. I’ve found I’m pretty good at putting pieces together when others have failed to.

Who is someone instrumental in your career or life? There are several people that stand out as far as being instrumental in my real estate career. One is my wife, Ginger, who had been in the industry a few years; and was able to introduce me to others that I have partnered with throughout my career. The other is my friend, Lewis Brooks, who showed me the ropes early on and has always been there when I had questions or needed something.

If someone played Peter Heise for a day, what is one thing that would surprise them about you? That I can still keep up with the pace of when I as in my twenties! The biggest surprise: I cook all the meals for my wife and daughter who are spoiled with the food I make for them on a regular basis and they don’t have to cook a lot themselves.

A Creative Force I am a believer that people show up in your life when you need them; and when you least expect it! Who knew while I was offering my home to a friend for a photo shoot, Kelly Stark Photography would come into my life. I was just starting the journey to making my home staging business official, and I asked this bubbly, blonde if she was interested in real estate photography. We got to talking amidst a beautifully lighted backdrop, and she explained she had been doing photography for about 13 years and she had an extensive background in marketing! We laughed like we knew each other forever, and I knew this was someone special that I needed at this point in my life. Little did I know that this friendship would turn into a lucrative part of my businesses! Kelly's ability to connect with clients on another level, to tell a story with the pictures she takes of our listings and my home staging ventures, has been a huge win for me, my sellers and my home staging start-up! She helped develop a marketing strategy and business operations for both my real estate business and my home staging company that is creative, manageable and creates business opportunities that have helped me succeed greater than ever before. Her talent has been a major win for my seller's listings in Dallas real estate because she is able to connect to a targeted audience much faster to get their homes sold. She is so special to me, and I appreciate her support, her honesty, her friendship and her talent. I'm forever grateful and I look forward to the next part of this adventure!
