INTRODUCTION

My architectural journey is rooted in a deep appreciation for Indonesia’s diverse cultural identity, as a developing national and its expression through architectural process and making. I received my formal education in University of Indonesia, where I received an award as the most outstanding student of the department of architecture, University of Indonesia in 2021.

In the pursuit of my career as an Architect, I am working under the guidance of Kengo Kuma, Tokyo from 2023. I learned how traditional essence and disicpline can move forward along with the digital/intelligence age.

This portfolio highlights my exploration of digital making and traditional process, showcasing the method of design in architectural realm for the creative / critical design journey.

Architect – Staff, designing architectural projects across various locations, including North America (California and Toronto) and Asia (Tokyo and Bali), with a total area ranging from 30,000 to 90,000 sqft. Utilized Japanese values and design approaches to develop schematic designs, concepts, studies, drawings, and site visits. (16 mo)

Architect – Intern, designed a winery project in Karuizawa, Japan, with a total area of 500 sqm. Worked on physical models and interior furnitures. (3 mo)

TSUNAMI CENTRE

Community / Shelter / Mixed Use | 2500 m2 – West Java, Indonesia Academic Work – University of Indonesia | 2021

Reusing an abandoned tsunami shelter by activating its potential views of the surrounding building. The project questions the current use of the building, which is negatively perceived by the public, and transforms it into a community-driven space. This is achieved through a temporary structure that preserves both the shelter’s functionality and its role as a public space.

Retracing views connection with the existiing site as a trigger points.

Vertical Sequence

accomodate spatial program vertically, deciding the best sequence for visitor. Each Sky Pot accomodating vertical access and act as an installation point. Considering movement - temporary programs of each area along with the injected existing program.

Temporary – practical furniture inside the building, attached wooden plate with suspension rod on to the crane.

QATAR NATIONAL MONUMENT

National Monument – Landscape | 2500 m2 – Doha, Qatar

Envisioning Qatar National Monument, symbolizing the progress and unity through a gesture that naturally rises from earth, a distinctive presence of Qatar’s famous Umbrella Rocks.

Rock Transormation

Inspired by umbrella rock and natural local elements, model exploration transformed along with the particles of Muqarnas stone by elevating the existing park to preserve the continuity.

Expansive panoramas of the city, bay, and park promote pride & patriotism. Oculus –looking up from the base of the monument & filtered light illuminates the forum, the serene central space that unites the past, present, & future of Qatar.

Unlike monuments in the 20th century, which were often detached visual objects, this geometry emerges from the ground, allowing for seamless movement through and around the architecture.

PANONPOE

Progressive Post - Landslide Healing Architecture

Shelter – Mixed-Use – Landscape | 2500 m2 – West Java, Indonesia

Academic Work – Personal | 3rd Place Archevent International Competition 2021

Panonpoe, which in english means sun, is a Post - Landslide and recovery center, which has several stages in accommodating both the needs and development of the landslide victims.

The idea of nature elements are used for the purposes of the urban farming program, related to the growth of vegetation on the site to physically as the time recovering both the sites and the victims.

Celebrating Hawkers and Public Space

Public Space – Festival – Urban | 2000 m2 – Jakarta, Indonesia

Showcased on Indonesia Architecture Fair | 2021

AMO is a journey, parade, milieu, place, market and a festival.

Celebrating the hawkers and traditional business community by setting up a memorable, Organized, performative, and futuristic place for the growth in senen area, Jakarta. This design mainly focus to create a new type set of typology and its application as an interior architectural spatial qualities. A set of festival typology to celebrate the spatial continuity on the urban context

Main Festival

The main festival accomodate not only for business neccesities, but also for the locals’ comfort. Roof harvesting rain water and also act as sheds to keep local business going.

24 hrs Market

Consist by three level to extend the ability by developing modules vertically in small alleyway.

Warehouse as storage for the festival, cloth storage, dry food, merchandise, ultimately revitalize the local business area

TORONTO GATEAWAY

Tower Proposal

Professional Work – KKAA | 2024 – Toronto, Canada

Responsibile for massing studies, landscape and facade iterations – concept.

Gateaway presense and massing exploration for two or three towers block. Create diagonal passageway from NW to SE. Daylight access for both residents and surrounding, be a fulcrum between the adjacent neighborhoods.

Three Season

Each season explores the idea of each accomodating programs at the knucle/coner of the site. Considering students will be the main user of these activities space.

Facade Studies, exploring the idea of breaking huge massing scale down to human scale, iterations are explored with the opening of views/balcony in mind.
