Proposal to Build a Geothermal Power Station
O T H E R M A L A Better Choice
To Tony Smith, My name is Noah Kent and I am the CEO of Kent Korps Geothermal. I am writing this letter to you to ask if I can build a Geothermal Power Station in the City of Casey. This is why. The Power Station is needed because we are burning all our fossil fuels and it is not only that they are finite resources, but they are damaging our environment. We have to act now because if we don’t we will run out of coal and there will be a huge power outage and we won’t have any power for a long time. It’s not only affecting the environment though, it is also affecting us. More and more people are getting sick each year due to the pollution. So I want to build a power plant so there is a cleaner way to produce power. There is a total of 68,902 households in the city of Casey. If we built one of my geothermal power stations we could power every home in Casey. The reason is my geothermal power station can power 138,888 homes. There are only 68, 902 homes in Casey. That would take up about half of what my power station could power. All the households would be powered. We will save a lot of money if we use less Co2 and if this power station is built we will. Geothermal is a renewable source so a lot of money will be saved. As you can see geothermal energy uses produces the least amount of carbon.
This is what has to be done. How it has to be built. Where in what type of area it needs to be built.
List of needed requirements and resources needed for this project:
A flat vacant patch of land with a 200 by 100m measurement. It needs to be built above a rich source of molten lava. Should be built a way from households for safety reasons. Workers Metal pipes Concrete Concrete slabs A turbine Big drills Now these things don’t come free so it is going to cost between $11 million and $50 million dollars to build. $11 million being the smallest power plant and $50 million being the bigger and better one.
I know this will be successful because there are lots of other geothermal power stations around the world that work perfectly. Like the one in Iceland which was the first ever geothermal power plant ever built. It has been running for many years and still works now. Here is a map of all the geothermal plants around the world that are successfully working. As you can see there are a lot.
