Kendal Brown is a minster, entrepreneur, and doctoral student. Currently enrolled in Pacific School of Religion's DMin program, Kendal's work focuses on the intersections of contemplation and creativity Kendal came to candle-making after having been on a winding road of professional life as a minister, seminary admissions director and conference staff for the United Church of Christ Though all fulfilling roles, there was a deep longing for work that engaged more of his creativity, body and free spirit. Thus was born 228 Grant Street Candle Co The name pays homage to the home of Kendal's late maternal grandparents, Thurman & Clara Echols, in Danville, VA.
