Growing up, I always held a passion for being outdoors. The feel of the wind on my face, the sounds of water and birds chirping, the sun warming my skin. I would play and sit and adventure until the night pulled me back inside. This passion grew with me as I got older, as did my love for art and any kind of design. As I matured and began to learn and see more about the world around me, I began to realize the importance of protecting this planet that we call home. The need to preserve and enhance the natural environment for ourselves and future generations is something I felt growing in me. My interest and love for design as well as this feeling of gratitude and thankfulness for the environment led me into landscape architecture at Clemson University. Through this program I was able to gain so much knowledge about the world of landscape design and the importance of what it means. Through Clemson I was able to experience amazing adventures, a supportive environment of classmates and professionals, and grow into the passionate designer I now am. I am ready for what is to come and to begin my journey of bettering the landscapes around us, both for the health of our homes and the wellbeing of our people and communities. I believe there is an importance in finding harmony between our ever-growing societies and the natural world. I want to bring this feeling of joy for the landscape that I had as a child to the people around me. I believe that through design we can make a better, healthier world and create real change all around.

City of Anderson, South Carolina Urban Design Studio - Fall 2022
Sustainability and Performance Plan
The “Electric City” of Anderson, South Carolina, is a charming, historically prevalent location in this state. Through the use of stormwater management, implementation of an urban jungle, additions of greenspace, more sustainable paving methods, and additions of bike lanes and road diets to encourage less reliance on automobiles, this city will become an even more aesthetically pleasing and environmentally conscious space for the residents and visitors of this city. The addition of a light rail and heavy rail system, new housing options, and a renovation of the southern gateway will bring more people into this small town, resulting in economic benefit for local business, improved outdoor recreation for the health of the community, and new spaces for people to connect with each other, the environment, and the arts.

Piazza Rossetti and Waterfront Design
Through the design of a cultural hub in Genoa, Italy, the immediate representation of harmony, lightness, and an international connection is exposed. Harmony is represented through the simultaneous arrangement of rectilinear and curvilinear forms integrated together on varying levels. The rectilinear elements located in Piazza Rossetti are a gesture to the surrounding context of Daneri’s existing forms and Piet Mondrian’s work, who inspired Daneri himself. These elements place the cultural hub gently into the site while the southern, curvilinear forms, sweep across the lower site in a dialogue with the Sea. Lightness is expressed by giving the ground plane back to the public through elevated architecture and necessary greenspace. Finally, the international connection of Genoa’s ports is exposed and highlighted through this design.

SCENIC BLACK RIVER
South Carolina Lowcountry
Regional Design Studio - Fall 2021 River Plan and State Park Design
The Black River is a water body that runs through the Lowcountry of South Carolina, passing through the counties of Williamsburg and Georgetown. This river has the potential to provide incredible opportunities for outdoor recreation, education, community connections, and economic benefits for the surrounding towns. As it stands currently, it is not reaching its full potential use. This project focuses on creating new state park lands that can aid the Black River in reaching this potential. Through in-depth analysis of the demographics of the area, survey responses from the community, and site and town visits, this design concept was born.
