2015 Graduate Awards Ceremony

The Department of Chemistry at Texas A&M University is among the most highly respected chemistry departments in the U.S, currently ranked 19th by US News & World Report. Our goal is to prepare the next generation of leaders to tackle the scientific and technological challenges society faces and to drive innovation in education. The program not only provides excellent training in the core areas of chemistry — organic, inorganic (currently ranked 5th in the country), physical/ nuclear, analytical, and biological — from worldrenowned faculty but also has strength in many interdisciplinary areas, including materials, energy, and macromolecular science. Students have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art instrumentation and to utilize first-class facilities in their research. After graduation, our students find successful employment in industry, including Dow, Eastman, BASF, Exxon Mobil, and Intel; with federal agencies, such as the Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. National Labs; and at numerous academic institutions.
