01 PEORIA UNITED LIBRARY
Spring 2020, course ADE 322 with Professor Amit Upadhye. The objective from that studio was to create a library, either in the location of our case study or a location of our choice and focus on creating a concept to base the design of the building from. In addition to having one special program at the library so the building is being used after library hours.
02 CRYSTAL BRIDGE CONSERVATORY
PROPOSED DESIGN SOLUTIONS WITH BOTANICAL GARDENS ADDITION
Is it truly a long building? Remove the lobby and interior
steep topography and you are left with a mere 112’ to display
botanical collections. This extension fulfills the conservatory’s
desire to stretch across the site connecting it to downtown
Oklahoma City. After an in-depth analysis of the existing
building, there are several notable areas of improvement.
Though the Crystal Bridge is located in a public park, it does
not have the infrastructure to support populous communal
gatherings. Therefore, our design incorporates large, open-air
pavilions.
To address the notable lack of sustainable systems
incorporated into the original design, solar panels provide
energy and shade the outdoor pavilions. To save further on
energy and resources, water filtration systems have been
integrated with the new wetland botanical collection to filter
graywater.
Architecture has the power to give people a sense of pride
in their culture and place. It can also invoke a sense of
responsibility to take care of their home. The Crystal Bridge is
neither good nor bad in this regard. It is neutral. To bring this
design home, the botanical history of its location is explored.

Fall 2021, course ADE 521 with Felipe Mesa. The objective from the studio was to better understand current conservatories through case studies by research, redrawing the drawings, and creating a 3D and physical model. The next phase was to then propose and add an extension to the exisiting conservatory that was assigned per group. Group Participants: Kennedy Frazier, Susannah Montgomery, Aaryaman Srivastava, & Kelsey Timmer

03 ROOSEVELT THEATRE
Fall 2020, course ADE 421 with Abigail Hoover and Christina Noble. The objective from that studio was to come up with a theatre on Roosevelt Row that was multipurpose for the building to be used other than when there was a show going on. By doing so, research was the number one way of figuring out what Roosevelt Row needed to keep it occupied as well as a case study on a Theatre of our choice.
