Message From From the the President President Message Hey-o SFA CKIers! Hope these past few weeks have gone smoothly! This year, we’re trying to work in a few extra reoccurring projects. As you know, we’ve already been approved for Adopt-a-Highway and all were waiting on at this point is for them to put our sign up so we can get to work! We’re also in the process of adopting 1 or 2 families from the big event to help out throughout the year. They can need assistance ranging from yard work, landscaping, buying groceries or maybe they just want someone to talk to for a bit. Who knows? As soon as we get approved for that we’ll let you know. As you can tell by the chapter update we give at the beginning of every general meeting, we’ve set some big goals for our club to accomplish! This year we’re hoping to up our service hour count to 750 and increase the amount of funds we donate, most notably to the Eliminate Project in junction with our Kiwanis Club. But with hard work from our officer board and your support, I’m sure our club can surpass every goal we’ve set. So, let’s get to work! Yours in Service,

April 4/4/19—Stress Balls
Members made stress balls using bird seed and balloons. The stress balls were given out to SFA students and SFA Counseling Services.
4/5/19—Animal Shelter Members visited the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter to donated the dog toys made by the members. Members interacted with the cats , dogs, and puppies that were currently at

Highlights Highlights
4/12/19—Adopt-A-Highway Members walked along a 2 mile stretch of highway and cleaned up trash along the way. CKIers filled up approximately 7+ bags full of trash and Debris from the highway.

April 4/25/19—Poster Making
Members made poster to hold and help promote their fundraiser at Panda Express on the 27th of April.
4/26/19—Habitat For Humanity Members visited the Nacogdoches Habitat for Humanity to help them organize and clean their store.

Highlights Highlights
4/27/19—Big Event make-up Members helped out a local Nacogdoches family clean up their yard and front porch. CKIers helped the family by raking up leaves, bagging up debris, fixing their garden and cleaning out their gutters.
