Free classes and programs help you learn how to navigate the job search and provide instruction in areas you hope to improve. Our program features interactive workshops that cover various aspects of the job search process. From crafting a standout resume to acing interviews and negotiating job offers, our workshops provide practical tips and strategies to enhance your job search skills. Classes and lectures are available in-person at the library, with a select sampling of classes available online for those unable to attend in person. Library staff also offer book suggestions to educate, enlighten and inspire you during your job search. Classes change monthly and can be found online at kentonlibrary.org/events. Can't make it to the library? No problem! The Kenton County Public Library offers an extensive range of online resources available at kentonlibrary.org for job seekers across the U.S. Anyone living in Kentucky or Greater Cincinnati is eligible for a free library card. A card is needed to access all career and job services resources. If you live outside the library’s service area, you can apply for a library card and pay a one-time fee of $50 for access to the same programs and online resources. The card is a valuable tool, especially for people interested in relocating to our area.
Top Library Tips for Job Seekers 1. For professionals, join the Northern Kentucky Accountability Group (NKYAG). Weekly Wednesday morning sessions at the Erlanger branch library provide professionals with a sense of belonging and reassurance while meeting other job seekers and listening to various presenters on topics related to the job search. You can also join virtually. 2. Schedule an appointment with a Career Navigator. Career Navigators can help one explore their skills and interests, review resumes, prepare for job interviews, learn how to organize the job search and more.
