FORE (Foundation for Ohio River Education) will present a look at the micro-life to be found in pond and river water. We will relate our explorations to the book “Song of the Water Boatman & Other Pond Poems.” Meet at the pond at Flagship Park (4060 Deerchase Dr, Erlanger, KY 41018) for a presentation, hands-on learning, and poetry! Did you know...
The Kenton County Public Library offers services for educators to support and extend classroom activities. EDUCATOR CARDS Educator cards are available to all educators and support staff who teach in, or live in, Kenton County, including home school and preschool educators. The card gives access to the Library’s electronic services, as well as checking out up to 100 items. Lost and damaged fees will be waived for up to 5 books per school year. STUDENT CARDS Student cards allow students to access to the Library’s electronic services, as well as to check out up to 5 print items. EDUCATOR COLLECTIONS Educators, including homeschool and preschool, can select up to 10 specific titles or we can create the collection for you with up to 30 items based on the topic. SCHOOL VISITS Librarians are available to visit schools and classrooms for curriculum support, storytimes, book discussions, STREAM-related activities, explanation of Library resources or question and answer sessions. Virtual school visits are also available. Please schedule visits at least two weeks in advance. LIBRARY TOURS AND FIELD TRIPS We encourage students and educators to visit our Library branches. During your visit we can provide library cards for students. Please schedule at least two weeks in advance. DATABASE TRAINING A librarian can visit classrooms or teacher meetings to discuss and demonstrate any of the databases or ebook platforms. Virtual database training is also available. SPECIALIZED DATABASES Educators and students can access databases, like Brainfuse and Teachables, on the library website.
