ALL BRANCHES The Kenton County Public Library is proud to present 1000 Books Before Kindergarten a reading initiative geared toward children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Help your child develop their vocabulary, build confidence, and be kindergarten ready by taking part in 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. The ROOK-ies Chess Group

Superhero Party*

Enjoy Donuts & Make a Keepsake Book with Grandma and Grandpa!*

AGES 7 AND UP ERLANGER: SAT., SEPT. 11 10:30 AM-12:30 PM Grandchildren ages 7 and up grab your grandparent(s) and bring them to the library for a fun time enjoying donuts and making a keepsake “junk journal” book with Charlotte Reed of Art Equals to celebrate Grandparents Day on Saturday, September 11. Supplies to bring from home to help make and customize the junk journal books are: old envelopes, small empty cardboard snack boxes, old maps, papers, junk mail, and anything else that is interesting that you think would be cool to use to decorate a keepsake journal.

Inventors Club*

SCHOOL AGE COVINGTON: SAT., SEPT. 11 • 1-3 PM Join us as we learn how paint has been made throughout history in different cultures.

Reading Buddies

AGES 3-12 ERLANGER: MONDAYS • 4:30-5:30 PM Children are invited to read with one of our Reading Buddy volunteers. We’ll provide lots of fun, interactive books. Younger children can listen to stories and older children can practice their reading skills. Snacks provided. Earn a new paperback book when you attend 3 times.

Dance Party!

TODDLERS – SCHOOL AGE COVINGTON: MON., SEPT. 13 • 6-7 PM It’s a dance, dance revolution! Come dance to some of our favorite KIDZ BOP songs.

Cook-A-Book*

PRESCHOOL & SCHOOL AGE COVINGTON: WED., SEPT. 15 & 29 • 7-8 PM Join us for our cooking series where we’ll read a book and then prepare a yummy treat! Please register online so that we can plan for enough food. 9/15: “The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog” by Mo Willems 9/29: “Should I Share My Ice Cream” by Mo Willems. We’ll read the book and make our own ice cream sundaes!
