Green Dot Bystander Training
DURR: Sat., 9/15, 10 am-5 pm A green dot is any choice someone makes to stop a situation of bullying, dating violence, or sexual assault from playing out. It’s about figuring out how your individual actions can really help to keep the people around you safe. During this training, teens will have the chance to talk about the issues they see among their peers, practice realistic (and sometimes even funny) ways to stop violence, and explore ways they can proactively use their voices to make changes in whatever space they’re in. Homeschooler’s Club: Therapy Dogs & Puppy Tales*
School Age DURR: Wed., 9/5,10:30-11:30 am Meet Jim Devenny, an experienced dog trainer who has certified many of our Puppy Tales therapy dogs. Jim will bring his therapy dog, Memphis Belle, to show us some training techniques. Additional Puppy Tales dogs will be in attendance for some one-on-one reading with each child. Space limited.

Haunt Your Library Writing Contest
