Celebrating Kent State Student-Athletes
These outstanding student-athletes have all been recognized as University Hospitals Difference Makers. Each of them was featured on a special banner that was part of the 2023 Athletics Auction and have been acknowledged for going the extra mile.
Sincere Carry
served as a role model to young basketball players in his high school community in Solon, Ohio.
Quintin Cooks
was SAAC vice president and was the first student-athlete Senator-At-Large member of the undergraduate student government.
Megan French
was a Morgan’s Message Ambassador and coordinated meetings and workshops for student-athletes to help end the stigma around mental health.
CJ Harris
provided assistance when a fellow student had a medical emergency in class.
Cami Klein worked at an assisted living facility to gain experience before attending physician assistant school.
Morgan Kubicki was an intern with Equity Health and volunteered with MedWish International. She also helped the team achieve the lead in D1 in service hours last year.
Justin Miknis
played a key role in numerous baseball and softball initiatives for youth in the Kent community.
tutored community children in language arts and math during her five years at Kent State.
Annie Pavlansky
Gabbie Sherman demonstrated her passion for the nursing field during her clinical experiences.
Isaac Vance was SAAC President and was an advocate for student-athlete well-being. He also served on several committees at the NCAA Convention.
Burgundy Walters worked with SimplifiEDU to provide virtual language arts and math tutoring to middle school students in underserved California communities.
Stuff the Truck
Many student-athletes volunteered during the “Stuff the Truck” food drive in the spring semester.
Kent State Soccer has had a constant presence in the community and placed third among all D1 soccer programs in the @HelperHelperApp community service bracket.
Kent State Soccer signed Zoe as an honorary team member as part of their Team IMPACT partnership. Zoe attends practices, games, team dinners, events and more.
