TUITION, SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID FINANCIAL AID

uky.edu/financialaid

A great education should be accessible to everyone. If a student has the desire and the drive to attend UK, UK wants to work with them to make it happen. UK is making efforts that lead the country in lowering costs, eliminating unmet financial need and creating the support necessary to dramatically increase student success. The FAFSA for 2022-23 became available Oct. 1, 2021, at fafsa.ed.gov. Incoming freshmen admitted to UK that completed the FAFSA prior to Dec. 1, 2021, received an early estimated financial aid notification. GRANTS Grants may be awarded based on financial aid from federal, state, University of Kentucky and private sources. Grants do not have to be repaid. STUDENT LOANS There are many types of loan programs to assist students in paying for college. These include Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Direct Student Loans, Parent PLUS Loans and private loans. Because loans must be repaid, only borrow what is needed. FEDERAL WORK-STUDY On average, students who work less than 20 hours per week perform better in school than their non-working peers. Federal Work-Study provides students with part-time, on and off campus employment and are paid bi-weekly based on the hours worked. VETERANS RESOURCE CENTER: veterans.uky.edu The University of Kentucky Veterans Resource Center provides information and assistance to veterans and active-duty military who want to attend UK. Contact the VRC for information regarding aid available to veterans.

ESTIMATE THE COST OF ATTENDANCE

Use the Net Price Calculator to estimate the cost of attending UK, including tuition, fees, housing and dining costs against any scholarships and/or financial aid someone may be eligible to receive.
