SAN JERONIMO TECUANIPAN Fall 2016
Design Studio VI

In collaboration with: Catalina Flores // Kenia Juarez
San Jerónimo Tecuanipan is a rural community near Puebla, its economy relies mainly on agriculture. San Jerónimo’s main issues are the lack of infrastructure, schools, cultural and health centres. The youth needed a safe and adequate environment to gather and learn. San Jerónimo Tecuanipan Community Centre was developed to help the young stay in school and to help them learn traditional skills for future jobs.

TRAIN STATION INTERVENTION Spring 2015
Design Studio IV
Professor Jose Luis Sanuy
In collaboration with: Aracely Baca
The intervention proposal was set on an abandoned train station in Cuernavaca, Morelos. This station was the main one in the state, thousands of people with thousands of stories crossed that space. The abandoned facade presents itself as a stage, allowing the development of the present with the interaction of the community. Past and Present linked.

ACCORDING TO DADA Spring 2015
History IV
Professor Rogelio Sanchez
In collaboration with: Catalina Flores // Kenia Juarez // Aracely Baca
The objective of this assignment was to make an art piece according to the art movement of our choosing. We chose Dadaism. The piece is a ready-made object, is not created by the artist and the intervention is to break art basic principles.

DESIGNING A MESSAGE Fall 2015 Critical Analysis of Architecture and Its Context Professor Angeliki Sioli In collaboration with: Aracely Baca // Ruben Olvera
Many social programs have unsuccessfully tired over the years to improve the living conditions of the lower class of the State. Vivienda Digna is one of them. It has been proven problematic as it promises to provide the eligible people concrete blocks that they can get only after filling in countless applications and forms and they can use to built houses on their own only by following a number of rules that are given to them along with the material. Criticizing this inefficient approach, we invented a number of our own surreal rules on how to climb out of poverty, wrote them on sample-concrete cylinders and created a skeleton-construction in front of the city’s town hall. 09
