Our Functions ZEALANDIA is a world-first wildlife safe haven and award-winning visitor attraction nestled in a forest-clad valley just minutes from downtown Wellington. Catering from small business conferences to fully-catered wedding parties, functions at ZEALANDIA provide a unique touch, while supporting native conservation efforts.

Features Beautiful scenic environment with opportunities for outdoor activities, team building, and exploring Wellingtonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s own wildlife sanctuary. Just 10 minutes from downtown Wellington but a world apart, ZEALANDIA has ample free parking for cars and buses. Functions at ZEALANDIA are also sustainable & environmentally conscious, with all proceeds going back to conservation. ZEALANDIA is CarboNZero and Conscious Consumers certified. We work with Heart Foundation NZ and Coeliac NZ to provide healthy and delicious fare.

Corporate Day Delegate Packages Business meets bush with our all-inclusive Day Delegate Package! Enjoy modern conference facilities, break-out spaces, in-house catering, free parking, and over 200ha of beautiful native forest. Research1 shows that nature has the power to change the way we think and feel, and has been associated with lower levels of stress cortisol, lower blood pressure, and improved cognitive function. Time in nature can also evoke creative solutions and flexible thinking, which can be particularly useful in developing ideas. We welcome you and your colleagues to spend time in the iconic Wellington wildlife sanctuary to recharge, collaborate, brainstorm or simply relax. Back inside the visitor centre you can take advantage of the private spaces and modern conference facilities to collaborate and further develop your insights. Our in-house baristas and catering team will keep you supplied with the delicious food and drink you need to fuel a productive day away from the office.

Function Beverage Options Consumption We have an extensive beverage menu at very reasonable prices. All drinks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic will be charged on consumption only. Drinks Package $35 per person. Available 5pm - 11.45pm.

CanapĂŠs: Bubbles and sparkling grape juice served with canapĂŠs. During and after dinner: Selection of house wines, local beers and orange juice. BYO For a corkage fee of $14 per person, we will chill and serve all your beverages throughout your function. Bar Tab Extensive beverage menu served until your predetermined limit has been reached. Cash bar can be available thereafter.

Daytime Catering Packages We have a range of daytime catering packages available for a range of events from birthdays to anniversary parties. Choose options from our extensive buffet menu, provide nibbles and finger food, or wow your guests with our tasty canapĂŠs. Please note these options do not include venue hire. Beverage packages and additional activities are also available upon request.

Our Venues

Heritage Lawn & Boatshed The perfect nature-lover’s venue, our Heritage Lawn and Historic Boatshed are located within the sanctuary fence next to a beautiful forestfringed lake, and positioned for afternoon and evening sun.

Heritage Lawn Cost: $ 600 Capacity: 300 people canapé style or 200 seated. Available: 8:30am - 5:00pm. After hours to be negotiated.

Pateke Room The Pāteke Room is a unique function space that is situated on the top floor of the Visitor Centre. This space is perfect for larger corporate meetings with great breakout spaces.

Capacity: 200 people canapé style or 160 seated for dinner, 180 people theatre style. Cost: $1150 or talk to us about our Day Delegate Package Available: 8:30am - 5:00pm. Afterhours to be negotiated.

Standard whiteboard, flipchart stand and four markers included in venue hire. Flipchart paper available at $20 per day. Internet access $50 per day. Additional AV can be hired in. Projector and projector screen can be supplied at an additional charge.

Rata Café Light, airy and modern, with scenic views across the forest-fringed lake and Heritage Lawn, Rata Café can seat up to 130 people. The café balcony is especially popular and can seat up to 70 people.

Visitor Centre Foyer A unique all-weather option, our Visitor Centre Foyer offers a modern design with interesting interpretation material and is dappled with natural light from our floor to ceiling windows.

Capacity: 80 people canapĂŠ style or 50 seated for dinner. Cost: $600. Available: 8:30am - 5:00pm. After hours to be negotiated.

Hihi Room The Hihi Room is located on the ground floor of our Visitor Centre. It has plenty of natural light and is ideal for small groups wanting to get away from their own office environment.

Capacity: 10 people boardroom style. Cost: $320 per day or Day Delegate Package $75 per person. Half day (up to 4 hours) $160. Available: 8:30am - 5:00pm. Catering: Can be tailor-made suiting your requirements or fully inclusive in the Day Delegate package. Morning Tea only: $10 per person, includes sweet or savoury item. Day Delegate Package: $75 per person. Includes venue hire, tea and coffee on arrival, morning and afternoon tea and lunch in Rata CafĂŠ. Conditions apply.

Electric Boat Tour $ 195 per hour Including skipper.

Hire our electric boat the Ara Kawau for exclusive rides on Lake Roto Kawau. Our expert skipper will guide you through the flora, fauna and unique history of the reservoir, with stunning views. Seats 15.

ZEALANDIA By Day Prices available on request Venture out into the sanctuary to discovery the riches of our native flora and fauna at its very best. With your personal guide learn about the history, sights and sounds of the forest and its secrets. See bird species that have been successfully reintroduced into the mainland. Duration: 2 hours.

Twilight Walks Prices available on request Experience ZEALANDIA as birds return to the sanctuary to settle into their nests and as the chorus changes from day to night. A tranquil experience, this tour is ideal for groups wanting an outdoor experience before they return to the city or cafe for other activities. Duration: 1.5 hours. 32

ZEALANDIA By Night Prices available on request Escape the city and experience the peace of ZEALANDIA By Night. This tour offers a full experience of the sanctuary valley at night and all the magical sights, sounds and senses that only New Zealand can offer. Explore the valley by torchlight as your guide leads you in search of many of the rare and endangered species and see those which only come out after dark. You may see one of the 130+ little spotted kiwi who call ZEALANDIA home. The tour will end with a replenishing cup of hot kawakawa tea. Duration: 2 hours.

Corporate Clue Hunt Designed for corporate groups looking for a fun team event at ZEALANDIA, clue hunts can be run on either a lunchtime break, or scheduled into a time that suits your agenda. Our Clue Hunts are run during the day year round and after hours tours during summer. Delegates are split into teams of up to fifteen and led through the valley by one of our expert guides. The clue hunt takes in the highlights of the valley and groups are given scores on each clue they gather. Awards will be given at the end of the hunt!

Birthday Clue Hunt Celebrate your birthday with the wildlife at ZEALANDIA! Take the kids on a special Birthday Clue Hunt in the valley with one of our expert guides, finding wētā, kākā and other creatures on the way. Then finish off with party food in Rata café.
