Question Is your production fit for purpose? E.g does it fulfil the codes and conventions of a T.V advert? Is it 30-‐60 seconds?

Answer Screenshot My production is fit for its purpose as I think as it mentions the deals involved and promotes the brand well. I think that it captures the audience’s attention by using techniques of persuasion. For example using humour. Compare with We intended to make our original advert resemble the idea of intentions – Have the ‘Old Spice’ commercial you set out what where the main character in you intended to do subject was able to ? Refer to you pre-‐ transition to different production, script, sceneries quickly to show all storyboard, shot the locations that the list, shooting network would have schedule available access. This didn’t work, as we didn’t use that many different costumes to aid for a variety of locations in editing. The schedule went to plan and everything went smoothly although it the concept didn’t work so well. It doesn’t Does the advert interfere too much and is look professional? clear enough to understand. We could of used a voice recorder to resolve this although we thought it could add to the effect of transitioning to another location. In editing it was hard to get a clear image of the background of different locations especially with the jungle background. It appeared gritty and patchy losing some professional quality.

Accessibility to target audience Does it seem appropriate to the target audience that you identified – how/why?

Contributions to advert What were your contributions? How did divide up your work? Do you feel you worked as a team?

I think that it is definitely appropriate to our target audience as it is mainly based on humour and special effects, which I think our audience find appealing in advertisements. With the boring side of mobile phones, they will want to be able enticed in another way rather than hearing about boring plans. Also with the addition of free headphones this is going to capture their attention, where anything free for that age group is appealing. Also music is a massive factor in this age groups lifestyle along with their phones where they listen to their music from. It also isn’t making it look as if we are mocking their immaturity where the actor speaks with some civilisation. My contributions to the group was helping out with some of the camera work and directing. I was assigned, during planning, the role of the Producer. So I thought I would try and get involved in everything to try and suggest as many different ideas and help out in general. Although I think we all participated in doing things to make sure the filming of the advertisement ran smoothly. We also all contributed different suggestions in pre-‐ production for different ideas for the advert. I feel like most of us worked as a team, although some people didn’t turn up for a lot of the filming and when they did

they were not getting involved. What you’ve I have learnt that the ideas learnt that you come up with and What have you imagined in your head, do learnt from making not always look the same as the advert? Next time I would probably try and think of some alternative back up ideas in case it doesn’t all go to plan. I feel like the advert could have had a better more relevant concept, or the concept that we already had to be made more obvious to the audience.
