We were one of the first butchers to receive the Certified Craft Butcher Standard introduced by the Association of Craft Butchers of Ireland in 2012.

We have also collected an amazing 11 gold medals and 8 silver medals. These awards are a reward for our commitment to producing high quality products that are 100% traceable from local suppliers – from farm to fork. About Our Turkey All the turkeys we source are non-commercial turkeys, which means that they are slow-grown to maximise flavour and tenderness. You will not find them on the shelves in any supermarket.

About Our Ham All our hams are produced from 100% Irish pork. We source our pork from Rosderra in Roscrea, in Co. Tipperary, who are renowned worldwide for the quality of their pork. We make our ham using a lowsalt recipe and only add the minimum amount of water so when cooked you get ham as it should taste with less shrinkage. Our Craft Butchers bone and roll all our hams in-house which gives us total control of how the ham reaches our customers.

David McEvoy

Our Free Range White Turkeys are slow-grown by David McEvoy from Termonfeckin in Co. Louth over a 6-month period, and are grown to maturity outside with time to graze and forage on a daily basis. This results in meat that is well-marbled with a fine texture and deposits of fat under the skin. As fats heat quicker than protein, the birds cook quicker, producing a succulent tender meat which tastes amazing.

We at Kerrigans Craft Butchers have won numerous awards for our high quality produce and our strong focus on customer service.

Some notable achievements include the award for Best Shop in Dublin North East for our store in Donaghmede as judged by the Craft Butcher’s Association of Ireland. We were also crowned National Supreme BBQ Champions. We are constantly trying to increase our knowledge of our produce and food by educating ourselves through culinary courses and research. We also enjoy testing out restaurants throughout the country (it’s a tough life!). Our dedication shines through in the sheer quality of our products and knowledge of our entire range. Our specially trained craft butchers will be happy to help you to choose the best cuts of meat suited to your occasion. We will offer tips and advice on how best to store and, most importantly, prepare your meat. We also stock a wide range of ambient products to enhance our meat offering.
