INFORMATION ITEMS: 1. Board of Trustees Self-Assessment Report On March 24, 2014 the Board received the self-assessment instrument designed to improve the effectiveness of the Team of Eight. The results derived from the completed individual instruments were discussed. It was decided to have a Team of Eight training to discuss developing a community district leadership group. 2. Overview of District #1 Report The continuation of the overview of District Goal #1 was presented. Mrs. Deb Wells Beasley, Associate Superintendent, made the presentation. 3. Financial Reports The Board reviewed the following monthly financial reports:  General Operating Expenditure Report  Property Tax Collection Report  Food Service Report  Capital Projects Report ACTION ITEMS: 1. Consider Proposed 2014-2015 District Goals The Board approved the proposed 2014-2015 District Goals. 2. Consider Budget Amendments The Board approved the budget amendment summary for the General Operating Fund, Food Service Fund, and Deb Services Fund. 3. Consider Purchases of $10,000 or More The Board approved a purchase of $10,000 or more. 4. Review Personnel, including but not limited to Employee Performance, Resignations, Retirements, Professional Appointments, Requests for Leave of Absence, and Substitute

Superintendent’s Office Teacher List [This item may be discussed in closed session pursuant to Section 551.074.] One resignation, two retirements, and the addendum to the KISD Substitute Teacher List were reviewed, and twelve professional appointments were approved: Resignations: Michele Butler (6-3-14). Retirements: Terri Edwards (5-3114); and Donna Houston (5-31-14). Professional Appointments: Kimberly Baiza – Unassigned Elementary Teacher; Shellie Brodbeck – Unassigned Elementary Teacher; Jacqueline Burton – English Teacher for DAS; Geoffrey Huff – History Teacher and Coach for THS; Jeffrey Jacobs – Unassigned Elementary Teacher; Jennifer Johnson – Speech Therapy Assistant for Special Education; Brent Milby – Science Teacher and Coach for THS; Kaitlyn Milby – English Teacher for THS; Terrance Neal – Math Teacher for THS; Kim Stary – English Teacher for THS; Dylan Warren – PE Teacher for SES; and Melody West – Science Teacher for THS. The Board approved Tana Althaus as Nimitz Elementary School Assistant Principal for the 2014-2015 school year. The Board approved Jimmy Grmela as Tally Elementary School Assistant Principal for the 2014-2015 school year. The Board approved Charli Stehling as Personnel Director for the 2014-2015 school year. The Board approved Sydney Gotcher as Head Volleyball Coach for the 2014-2015 school year. The Board approved the administrative contracts for the 20142015 school year as presented in the memorandum of April 18, 2014 from the superintendent. The Board approved the non-administrative contracts for the 2014-2015 school year as presented in the memorandum of April 18, 2014 from the superintendent. THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE AT 6:00 P.M.
