INFORMATION ITEMS: 1. Tuition Rate Report Each year the Board of Trustees sets tuition rates for the following school year. Current policy sets a rate for transfer students of $200.00 per semester ($400.00 per year) and no fee charged for additional family members transferring into the district. The administration recommended that the rate remain the same for the 2015-2016 school year. Action will be taken on this item in March.

2. Consider Purchases of $10,000 or More The Board approved purchases of $10,000 or more.
TASB Policy Update 101 and Amendment to FFC (Local) Report The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) has issued Update 101 of the Localized Policy Manual which includes revisions to Legal and Local policies designed to incorporate recent changes to Administrative and Education Codes. Legal policies are not adopted by the Board of Trustees. They reflect the ever-changing legal context for governance and management of the district, and should inform local decision making. Local policies included in Update 101 require board action to adopt, revise, or repeal. Policy Update 101 will be presented as an action item at the regularly scheduled March 30, 2015 Board of Trustees meeting.
ACTION ITEMS: 1. Consider Budget Amendments The Board approved the budget amendments.
3. Review Personnel, including but not limited to Employee Performance, Resignations, Retirements, Professional Appointments, Requests for Leave of Absence, and Substitute Teacher List [This item may be discussed in closed session pursuant to Section 551.074.] One resignation, three retirements and one professional appointment were approved: Resignation: Nancy Hunter (63-15). Retirements: Mike Grissom (6-3-15); Jesse Hinton (63-15); and Barbara Walther (6-3-15). Professional Appointment: Tyler Brown-Special Education Teacher at NES. The addendum to the KISD Substitute Teacher List was reviewed. The Board approved the appointment of Jimmy Grmela to District Testing Coordinator for the 2015-2016 school year.
