During her summers off from college she worked at her family’s furniture dealership, often in the back room organizing fabric samples. Allison loved pouring over the textiles and dreaming about the designers who created them.

Allison’s art is made with a deck of cards. She uses the cards to generate a number that will be used for a grid. The only decisions she makes are the color palette and the shapes used. Allison finds the process of surrendering control to be art therapy and a nice contrast to daily life.

Amanda Lane
Amanda’s first memory as an artist was while she was spending a lot of time with her grandparents on their farm. Her grandfather taught her how to draw a horse and she practiced it for weeks.
