THE
2025 MPV MARKET
In 2025 the world has used most of the oil due to aggressive expansion of third world countries. In the mean time, as the oil is depleting, alternative energy sources and 0 emissions research peak their development. In result, by 2025 most of the vehicles will be running on hydrogen or other nonpolluting energy sources such as electricity. Big cities in the U.S. will only allow 0 emission vehicles to be driven. The popularity of the MPV amongst families of 4 and plus will be slowly declining due to a vast variety of types of vehicles, many alternative evolutions of MPV will be targeting different markets such as “dual income no kids, MPV or the leisure purpose, MPV where sportive handling is as important as multi functionality and environmental responsibility.

“A safe vehicle that will protect my family”
“A humble servant for my family” Family: Accentuated comfort and safety to protect and entertain the people you love.
“I want to carry all I need with me and my family and friends too.”
4
Taxi: The most utilitarian form of MPV to carry as many people as possible.
“MY LEISURE, MY ROAD TRIP, MY WAY” Leisure: Tailored to enjoy long trips and ready to carry all the utensils needed.
Important MPVs
Renault Espace (1984-present): The Espace is a large MPV from the French car-maker Renault. Large flat space, big greenhouse and flexible seating placement are the key features of this MPV. The Espace is often credited as being the world’s first MPV.
Renault Espace F1 In 1995, Renault displayed a show car called the Espace F1 (created by Matra) to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Espace and Renault’s involvement in Formula One racing. Though it resembled an Espace with substantial bodywork changes, the vehicle had more in common with a F1 car. Renault Avantime (2001- 2003): The Renault Avantime is a grand-touring coupé combining features of a 2+2 coupé and an MPV built between 2001 and 2003. Designed without B-pillars. Combines the space of an MPV with four-place pillarless qualities of a coupé. Philippe Guédon, head of the automotive division at Matra, who “believed that the children of Espace owners remained loyal to the car even after they had grown up and left home. As a result, the renewed MPV was gaining a generation of new drivers.”

BMW Art Cars The BMW art cars were introduced by HervÊ Poulain, an auctioneer and passionate racing driver from France. Poulain was searching for a link between art and cars and he asked his friend, the renowned artist Alexander Calder, to paint the BMW 3.0 CSL that he would race in the 1975 Le Mans. Poulain’s 3.0 CSL was the first car to create a symbiosis between the world of art and the world of motorsport. Prompted by enormous enthusiasm for this work of art on wheels, BMW then decided to put the brilliant idea of establishing the Art Car Collection into practice.

Air muscle Air muscles work like human muscles and contract by thickening. They shorten by as much as 40% when they are pumped up with air. There are many robotic and motion-control applications for air muscles because they can provide substantial pulling force. Air muscles can have a power-to-weight ratio of 400 to 1. Their advantage over traditional pneumatics is that they can be bent around curves and work under water because they are mostly made of soft plastic and rubber.
Touchable 3d holographic projection Transparent 3D projection that can be interacted by touch. More than one person can interact with the 3d hologram, it can replace screens and controls.

Silver-plated nylon thread into fabric This is a silver plated nylon thread that can conduct electricity, this thread can be used to saw fabrics and to conduct electricity at the sometime reducing numerous wirings in a vehicle.

Conductive Elastic Fabric A medical grade silver-plated (92%) nylon (8%) fabric that offers the unique ability to stretch in both directions. It makes a great material for electrode contacts, door trims and other fabric areas in a vehicle as it can conduct electricity to power various lights and screens.
Flexible Molded leds A solid, silicone, plastic tube with a string of LEDs embedded inside. It is designed to glow evenly, like a neon light, yet it is flexible, durable, and consumes 70% less power.
aMoled (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) A flexible display technology for use in mobile devices and televisions As of 2011, AMOLED technology is used in mobile phones, media players and digital cameras, and continues to make progress toward low-power, lowcost and large-size (for example, 40-inch) applications.
