Kevin Hinds for JCI Barbados President 2013 Kevin Hinds has been nominated as your candidate to continue to lead this charge.
Reflecting on the Past… Embracing the Future JCI Barbados is at a pivotal juncture today. Much work has been done within the past year to reverse a decline which cumulated in the relegation of the Local Organisation to Associate status. There was a need for change, a need for innovation, a need for a revolution, in order for this great organization to realize its true potential and revamp the perception and legacy in the Barbadian community, and in the eyes of its members and alumni.
Kevin has played a key role on the Redevelopment Committee appointed to lay the foundation for the JCI Barbados we want to see in the future; not only next year, but the next 50 years! This passionate young gentleman has been actively involved in JCI Barbados for half a decade, serving effectively on the Local Board as Treasurer in 2008 and Vice President, Individual and Membership in 2009. He conceptualized and successfully chaired the ‘Green Roots’ project in 2009, sat on various JCI project committees during his tenure and also actively volunteers for the JCI Barbados flagship project ‘Special Day for Special Children’ each year. A charismatic leader, Kevin has not just excelled in his JCI career but he has also performed credibly in his professional life. Following the
completion of his BSc. in Computer Science and Management, he was employed by CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank. His drive for excellence commissioned his acceleration in the financial institution, as he successfully delivered solutions through innovative and creative techniques. He currently serves as Manager, Business Performance & Strategy for Corporate Investment Banking, a position he has held since November 2011. Kevin credits JCI for his development in many ways and believes that the organization has been one of the fundamental pillars for his success. An individual with a love for family, sports (especially cricket and football) and the arts, his firm belief is that one needs to have a balance in life not only to achieve success but also to appreciate it… VOTE KEVIN HINDS PRESIDENT 2013!!!
