EYE CANDY OF THE MONTH JAN/FEB 2022 By Ke’Vea S. Blayton Photography by Paris Steward

You’re known for dancing & you’ve done music videos! What’s the first music video you’ve ever done?

Umm the first music video I ever did (laughs) Ok so I have two! The first one I ever did was for my friend & it’s like a YouTube video you’ll never find….You’d have to really search for it but my first real music video that went viral was Young KSB’s “Slob On My Ass” that was crazy! So “Slob On My Ass” was the first video where everyone really saw you? Yes! That video made Deigo well not made but definitely pushed Deigo!

You’ve also been seen in other major underground music videos for artist such as Saucy Santana!

Yes! I’ve done videos for him as well & other up & coming artist that’s not really as popular.

What’s the main videos that you would give someone to watch if they wanted to search for you in a music video?

I would give them “Here We Go” by Saucy Santana cause that’s one of the big ones. They didn’t add my clip but I was in the “Back It Up” video by Santana & LightskinKeisha. I was on set the whole time there. I would also give them both “Slob On My Ass” & “ Hit It From The Back” by Young KSB.

Ok so are you still gonna do videos?

like a passion of mine Yes! I love being on set cause that’s

outside of my own brand. So definitely I look to do more videos.

So you also model! Have you ever been an exotic dancer?

(laughs) Um yes for a very short period of time! It’s not really much to say about it but it just didn’t work out for me. I learned very quick that it wasn’t something for me. It was something I did because I know I could but I didn’t have to.

Yes I am and I grew up with a single mom so the sense of security and just having somebody on your side. So how does your boyfriend feel about you

doing videos & photoshoots? He loves it! He’s my biggest fan not to be

weird about it but he loves it and pushes me to do what he feels will get me to where I’m trying to go in life. It’s never any disrespect either cause we have boundaries. So he’s rocking with me & I’m rocking with him.

We hope to see Ya spoke your truth! you shine more in videos and wish you the best in all of your endeavors.

Ok. So you’re the first person ever to be Eye Candy Of The Month in GÁBOR Magazine so how does that feel?

It feels good! I’m very honored because this is needed in our community & just in the world in general. We think so too! So anybody who comes

behind you as Eye Candy Of The Month will definitely have big shoes to fill!

Oh yes cause you know them pictures speak for theirself! Who’s your celebrity crush at the moment?

Ok my celebrity crushes are a guy & a girl so I would have to say my female celebrity crush right now is Yung Miami! Caresha is doing her shit & I love how sexy she is cause that’s me! My male crush would have to be Kellonderyck cause he’s dope!

So when did you actually get into rapping?

Officially in 2013 & professionally in 2018.

Ok. Cool! What & who inspired you to become a rapper?

, I used to pretend me Actually Nicki Minaj Did and my two cousins was in a group and I used to sing all the time lol and once I saw Nick , I was like “nah fuck that I wanna Rap” she just made it more interesting to me it’s like she threw glitter on it or something .. but yeah she def woke me up and pushed my pen

Ok for the Nicki Minaj inspiration! Now, I see you voice your opinions a lot on social media when it comes to the industry so what would you say makes that happen?

I feel like a lot of times my opinions weigh on both ends for example the industry can be very cruel and Non-inclusive however some artist are over confident in an industry that isn’t suited for them yet they internalize the push backs and “non support” as Hate so I guess my responses come out of annoyance.

I see where you’re coming from & with that

being said, LGBTQ rappers are surprisingly on the rise & catching a lot of buzz & hype! How do you feel about other artist? I’m actually so happy that’s it’s a variety of us. I feel like a lot of people feel like we just need one gay rapper or “One is to many” but I think we deserve to show our strength in numbers as well!

There’s people who always believe it can only be one. Would you say there’s a lack of talent & some people are just getting by when it comes to gay hip-hop as well?

GÁBOR|Artist To Watch Words by Ke’Vea S. Blayton Photography by Paris Steward

I feel like the ones who sound like their influences and don’t necessarily bring any originality to the sport is who usually has that emotion because they’re imitating their idols. One thing about me that I’m very big on , is acknowledgment! I love telling people what I love about them because I appreciate the arts. I won’t say I see people getting by , but I do see a lot of people biting off more than they can chew and rap just ain’t the gum for them.

Do you care to speak names?

nah cause that’s when bitches who aren’t important start thinking they are …

Ok fair enough so what makes you

different from your peers?

I feel like I have a mainstream sound. You could place me anywhere musically and I’ll deliver something refreshing and relatable. I also feel like I took the time out to understand my brand and marketing a lil bit more where others tend to focus more on content. I like making personal relationships with my fans and creating avenues of growth so that when I do drop my content it has an actual response for example how KSB dropped his video and took over the world! The people was waiting for him. You have a great perspective

on how you’re going about

things! I see you’re making music with fellow artist Marlon Bando! How did that come about? Are you guys a duo?

Well we met in 2009 in the 9th grade & we are Best friends! He actually had a voicemail from back in the day where he rapped it and I was like “this bitch can rap” and he didn’t believe me but we ended up writing our first song called “Adam & Steve” and we we’re at the hip since then but in 2021 I decided we should become a duo outside of our solo efforts and create some different vibes and we did.

How did the single “Hate Us Cause We’re Beautiful” ft. IGotBarzz come about? Well it was a Tsubando original & we actually

met up with Barzz pride weekend in Atlanta. We discussed doing some records together & ended up recording like 5. A good ole link up! I feel that! What can we expect from you solo wise for 2022?

Well I actually dropped a project on my birthday Dec 2nd and I def got videos galore coming this year! Lastly! So You are the 1st ever Artist To Watch in GÁBOR Magazine! How does that feel?

I’m truly honored! I’m flattered to even be considered. My main goal is to be incorporated with everything and everyone that supports the arts and the lgbt. It’s good to know that you feel that way! You are definitely an artist that’s true to the craft & is on your way to the top! GÁBOR is truly here for the LGBTQ and to support greats like you. Congratulations.

GÁBOR| WAVEPLAQUES

BABYFACEBUD’S WAVEPLAQUES BabyFaceBud pictured with Diamond selling LGBTQ recording artist Lil Nas X.

“I currently offer two plaque sizes priced between $250 to $350 and the plaque sizes are huge now the largest size is 24x36 i call it the MEGA WAVEPLAQUE!”

These plaques are selling faster than hotcakes and we know just why! BabyFaceBud’s making moves in the entertainment industry off of his graphic work alone! The recording artist has done & presented plaques to The Who’s Who of Hip-Hop & R&B alone. Word around town is Bud‘s moving faster than the RIAA! It makes you wonder how did all of this come about! We at GÁBOR interviewed him to find out the real behind these plaques! Words By Ke’Vea S. Blayton

23|GÁBOR

The REAL behind WAVEPLAQUES You are out here doing big things! How did WAVEPLAQUES come about? WAVEPLAQUES started in 2020 during the pandemic. I had recently dropped a remix to cardi B’s WAP & titled mine WAD “WILD ASS DICK”! I posted it on soundcloud & it gained 1,000 plays just in 24 hours which was amazing for me because I had never posted anything on soundcloud. I was so happy I decided to create my own plaque to congratulate myself & shortly after posting the plaque people started asking where I bought my plaque from & I told them that I made it myself & then people started asking to purchase them. I came up with the name due to my record label I started in 2018 waveplex & I decided to name the plaque company waveplaques & started taking orders. I have to say that’s very innovative of you considering the fact

that we all know RIAA plaques are hard to come by for independent artist! How much do your plaques range from?

design it was kinda basic looking in my Well when I first started the actual plaque

opinion & I was charging $50 to $100 for them at the time. $50 was for the smaller one and $100 for the medium sized. Later my manager @ExecBoi Told me to redo my design & make it marketable where I can really make some money & still provide quality at a affordable price. I currently offer two plaque sizes priced between $250 to $350 & the plaque sizes are huge now the largest size is 24x36 I call it the MEGA WAVEPLAQUE which is also my top seller.

We’ve seen WAVEPLAQUES everywhere! You’ve made some for

underground artist like Young KSB, Kilah Beez & Wewereborn well known artist like Trina, Nivea, Omeretta & City Girls but I would hope I’m right when I say Lil Nas X has to be the biggest artist you’ve presented a plaque to?

Yes I’ve been booked & blessed to have worked with everybody you mentioned. I started my plaques to cater to the independent artist around Atlanta & so far artist from everywhere have been purchasing plaques from me. What makes me happy is that some big artist who have those nice RIAA plaques have been allowing me to present plaques at their events. The first big artist to allow me to do this was the legendary rapper Trina! She was so sweet. My friend Rick Rosa Set that up for me but Trina was amazing. Then I created two for Nivea & her manager Zoe Filthy! Nivea was so sweet I love her. Omeretta is a dope artist here in Atlanta and I surprised her with her plaques at a listening party she had earlier this year & she was so sweet & humble. She later had her manager hire me as her graphic designer too. The City Girls was cool but my least favorite moment giving them their plaque felt weird (laughs) Miami was looking like “wtf is that” JT was all nice & bubbly but they were cool I think they just had a bad night or something but it was another dope opportunity. They took pictures with me and the plaques. The highlight of my plaque business was LIL NAS X! My mentor & business partner super producer Dallas Austin called me & told me he was doing a party for Lil Nas & they wanted me to create all the graphics for the event & Dallas said it would be dope if I presented Lil Nas with my plaques so when I went to the event I was able to get on stage with him & everybody went crazy when I brought out the plaques. Lil Nas was so nice to me & he was so thankful to get those plaques from me. His team love them so much they asked if I could make more for his two producers “takeadaytrip” they love the plaques as well. That was the best night ever & my favorite moment presenting plaques.

24|GÁBOR

You are definitely destined for nothing but the ultimate greatness! I can honestly say you are a chosen one cause the talent you have is very rare to be that innovative with these unique inventions! It seems like WAVEPLAQUES is about to give the RIAA a run for their money! Do you have plans to distribute them worldwide?

worldwide though it’s possible. I don’t necessarily plan to distribute I say that because I never plan anything I honestly move when God tells me to move & I really let him guide my thoughts beyond what I want. I feel like God makes things happen in my favor when the time is right. So for now it’s just word of mouth but WAVEPLAQUES will definitely grow bigger & as far as the RIAA they’ll always be industry standard & my plaques will always be unique!

all of your talent has That was a good answer! Now

gained a lot of prominence & now you’re working with super producer Dallas Austin! How is it making graphics for him & his company? I love working with dallas I’ve been a fan

of his since I was 5, I’m a huge TLC fan so working with him has been life changing I’m so thankful he found me. Dallas loves me a lot & he loves my work so much that he let me come up with all the ideas as far as marketing his company. He never tells me no or to redo something it’s like I never miss. Dallas started a distribution company & he presented me with the opportunity to distribute all my upcoming music through his new company DAD which stands for Dallas Austin Distribution & I’m a artist under that company as well as my label waveplex music.

A definite full circle moment to look up to someone & work with them when you get older. You have killer graphics so I can see why he never disagree with anything! You also did graphics for Lil Kim’s “9” album release party! How was that working with the Queen Bee?

Working with Lil Kim was so fun that was the first major artist I ever did any graphic work for at the time, her team hit me up the day before her listening party & they wanted me to create a iconic graphic using all of Kim’s most iconic looks over the years and the graphics were displayed on a LED truck outside the party in Atlanta as well as inside the venue my work was playing all over the walls it was so dope I was crying happy tears. They also used my work for her New York release party & had my work on a truck up there to promote her album it was so cool seeing my work in New York as well. A lot of my friends in New York sent me videos & pictures of everything. I wanna give a shout out to Kim’s event coordinator Alyi V! She’s such a wonderful lady & she personally took me to meet Kim at the party & Kim told me she loved me & “Thank you for the beautiful graphics”! I even got to hold her BET award when I was in her section & then I partied with the Queen Bee all night (laughs).

You know that’s our girl over here at GÁBOR! We love us some Lil Kim to death! That was a huge accomplishment for you! It should also be a great feeling knowing that you’re providing things like high quality graphic art & the WAVEPLAQUES for the underground LGBTQ artist! Do you feel appreciated for your contributions? You’re also a dope engineer!

Yes I feel appreciated by those who are appreciative of me, I use to struggle with wanting recognition from certain people that I’ve helped but I don’t think like that anymore because God got me & I shouldn’t have to beg for my recognition it will just come naturally from the people that genuinely love & support everything that I do. Yes I’m a recording engineer as well & I’ve worked on alot of projects with a lot of underground artist that are very dope.

25|GÁBOR

What’s some of the projects that you have been behind that people may not know of? Well the biggest project I was apart of that I don’t really talk about often was Saucy Santana’s debut project. I recorded, mixed & mastered that project all by myself & even helped produce the vocals & arranged majority of the songs. I was a big part of his start up but things kinda went left when he had a team come in & basically they cut me out of everything & removed my taglines off the songs. I got upset about that so me & santana stopped speaking. We had a small altercation over the phone about the business but mentally I was over it so I just let it go even tho the whole situation hurt my feelings. I got paid $150 to do all that work for him (laughs) it was a loss because he promised me that if I helped him he would take me to the top with him & he was going to shout me out & just you know make sure I came up along with him. I met him through a mutual friend/artist Kilah beez & she told me he was looking for an engineer so during the summer of 2019 me & santana met, started talking alot on the phone & planning the project. I even gave him his stage name Saucy Santana because he originally wanted to go by “SantanaOnTheBeat” which was his make up name. I told him to separate his make up from his music brand. Anyways moving on he told me how he was tired of going to straight studios being uncomfortable rapping his music & I felt bad & told him I would help him out so I flew to Orlando with my own coins & we stayed at Kilah Beez house where we recorded his whole project in her closet off my iphone. I did the his hit song “Walk Em Like A Dog” as well as a few other tracks Hood Nigga, Bad Ass Bitch feat. Kilah Beez, Yea Heaux & Get It. At the end of each song I added my voice tagline which says “mixedbybud” Santana loved the outcome with the project it was titled “Bad Bitch Vol.1” before he got a new team & changed the name to “Dog Walkers EP”. I was so hurt when I saw how they just erased me from the project. They allegedly let the other engineer take credit for all the work I did not sure how true that is but they did credit my name on youtube for the engineering but never cut me a check & I didn’t know much about the business at the time to even try to sue him or anything. I was just trying to help but ended up getting left behind but I’m still out here doing what I do best & being good to people you never know who you’ll need in the business so it’s always good to treat people good. We recorded his project in 1 day & I mixed everything so good it was all ready to go for release but by time the ep came out I was no longer apart of his team. Nobody reached out to ask me anything I was just completely erased. I never bashed him tho many people tried to make me say stuff about him I never did I even gave him a plaque for his single “Walk Em Like A Dog”. Even tho he doesn’t talk to me I dont hate him I hated how he did me tho but it’s all good I learned to always get everything in writing & trust no one but the pen & signature. You guys are the first I ever told all of this too in depth because I never cared to go into details but that’s a true story from my life that cant be erased. I also never spoke up because he became so popular & I didn’t want people to say I was clout chasing for money by speaking on what happened between us so I just left it in the past God has continued to bless me and I’ve met so many people in the industry me & Santana are both thriving in life… he’s in his own lane & I’m in my own lane much love to him.

That was a mouthful! I definitely feel you & situations sometimes play out for a reason. Look where god took you! We appreciate your honesty about everything! So what’s next for WAVEPLAQUES?

I’ll let you all be first to know that WAVEPLAQUES will have their first annual award ceremony in Atlanta called the WAVEPLAQUES AWARDS! I will be highlighting all artist both LGBT & straight it’s going to be a major event next year

Uh oh! Sounds like a fire situation right there! Well you are definitely loved here at GÁBOR and thank you for speaking with us! We wish you the best on all of your endeavors! Yes its going to be Major! i love you all too Thank you for having me!

Young KSB’s New Rockstar Alter Ego! By Ke’Vea S. Blayton Photography by Paris Steward

So why the sudden change from Hip-Hop to Rock?

I’m gonna be very honest with you. I don’t like the way the industry is going when it comes to Hip-Hop. It’s becoming a fucking comedy show & anybody can do it all of a sudden thanks to social media.

That’s understandable! So your last Hip-Hop project was 2020’s “Doodie Gábor”! Did you like the outcome of it? Yes! I loved the outcome because that was a rough time in life after all that happened with “Slob On MyAss” in 2019! That project charted on Itunes & many people loved the songs.

So! “Kane Mansfield” tell us about the new upcoming EP & who is Kane Mansfiel? The new EP is 3 songs! All of them have a different feel but it’s pure Rock! I rap on one of them but it’s bananas. I think everyone is gonna be shocked at this project. Kane Mansfield is Young KSB’s maniac twin brother who escaped an asylum to now cause hell!

Where did you come up with the name “Kane Mansfield”? I love Old Hollywood sex symbol & actress Jayne Mansfield! So I took her last name & I rhymed it with Kane & Kane Mansfield was born!

We look forward to this new image & project! When does it drop? Kane is maniac with 1,000 looks! The EP drops February 18th, 2022! It’s a whole new me & the change has come! It’s an opportunity to broaden my horizon & show more versatility on who I am as a artist. Anybody can do ratchet music but not everyone can do rock!

GÁBOR|Kane Mansfield WHAT’S TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW EP! LETS GET INTO THE VIBE OF WHATS TO COME!

THE TRACKLIST: The songs listed below all were written by Young KSB! Each one of the tunes have a different story behind them that most can relate to since the topics speak to all.

1. THE HATE YOU GIVE ME This song speaks to people who has been put through hell! Anyone that’s been to hell & back would definitely understand. The constant hate & backlash you receive. The fucked up situations you been through but through it all you still stand tall. That’s how Young KSB feels throughout the song. The aggression in his voice against the hard hitting rock beat just puts his in a whole new demension ready to fuck up the world & throw all the bullshit right back to everyone who thought he would lose. He shows the haters nothing can stop him!

“INTRODUCING… KANE MANSFIELD“ NEW EP BY YOUNG KSB BY KE’VEA S. BLAYTON PHOTOGRAPHY BY ENIARY STUDIOS

This EP is due to drop February 18th, 2022 & it’s a first for Young KSB as he test the waters in a new genre that most are scared to touch. It’s always a touchy type of thing when heading into a new direction because ya never know if it will be perceived well by your fans or not. That’s definitely one of the scary feelings about change because most aren’t gonna change

With you no matter how bad you may want them to. All in all you must always keep going cause it’s all about what you feel. Most people stick to what got them hot but some may want different & that’s how Young KSB is feeling this go round. Success is the only option cause failure won’t be accepted at all. The only way is up cause it’s a big win if you did it without handouts!

2. FOOL FOR YOU This is a fun track that’s showcases how stupid in love you can be for someone who ain’t paying yo ass no mind at all. It’s like a sprung type of track with a nice rock element to it where Young KSB showcases his singing skills with a dab of razzle dazzle if you know what I mean! Most people have been fool once in their life so it’s also a relatable track.

3. HE LIKES BOYS The last song on the EP & it’s a fucking banger! This one is for the gays for real! The song tells us like it is raw & uncut about why most men like boys. A very authentic truth that would drive homophobes crazy! Everyone that’s gay have their reasons for liking what they like so without a doubt when people take a listen to this track it’s gonna put em in a trance! The singing is the finishing touch of this masterpiece!

PAXSIR “Last project! I’m out of it!”

Breaks his silence on retirement rumors!

37|GÁBOR

Why do you feel some LGBTQ rappers are delusional? Don’t act like you don’t

see the action?

PAXSIRRETIRES FROM MUSIC! Words by Ke’Vea S. Blayton Photography by Shotbysyn

Acting as if they’re attached to some huge labels & what not! Nobody is better than the other we not getting no real money for this. But shoutout to the ones who are putting in the work for it tho! You are hilarious. So is the retirement for real or will we see you dropping something way down the line? If not what’s next? If I drop anything it’ll be videos for “doing it well” & “pretty poet” but I don’t know I had 1 song I was working on but as far as the retirement yes it’s real.

what they say if I see but you know

you really want to retire then you have to divorce the game! I’m getting a divorce, I just feel those 2 songs

deserve a little something. Hmmmm…Let’s see how long this retirement last! You are well respected & amazingly talented! Us at GÁBOR wish you the best with your future endeavors!

So you’re one of the most underrated lyricist of the LGBTQ rappers in this era! How do you feel about that? It’s cool they know & I know but I feel it’s expected, especially when everything matters except talent. You make a great point.

You’ve dropped

some pretty good projects over the last few years. I’m a huge fan of your newest effort “Melange” how did that come about? I just really wanted to have something solid & since it was going to be my last project I wanted to dig deep in my bag & apply a lil pressure to my pen! Last project? So you are really retiring from music? LAST PROJECT! I’m out of it! What made you come to that decision? The support isn’t there & not only that talent is def looked over. I feel like it’s to much ass kissing & dick riding, & it’s gotten to where everything is a clique up. I can see why you say that. Talent isn’t really respected in the industry anymore. Social media has definitely turned everything around. Do you feel social media played the biggest role in how the entertainment industry is looked at now? Yes! A lot of ppl I feel like have a lot of access now because everything is based around social media. I feel like it was so much better without all of it, without & before all of this everything was about the the talent & the music only! Yes! Everything was so much better. The good days of talent & raw, authentic artist making their way. So how do you feel about your rap peers? Anyone you’re cool with? Ummmmmmm I feel like some

are delusional, I think some are yes men. Some are killing it. A few are talented as fuck & just amazing. Yes I’m cool with a few, I wouldn’t say best friends but some have supported even when they’re not featured & even gave some advice, it’s only one I really fuck with beyond music so yeah. Oh and a lot are shady, & not pure at all some of them come with a motive.

You said at mouthful right there. So you’ve come out with good music, you’ve charted on ITunes a couple times as an independent artist! How did that feel? It feels good, I mean I’m not gone sit here & be delusional like imma celebrity like I am getting real money off doing it like

some of my peers but it’s an accomplishment I’ll always be proud of, at least I did manage to do that before I went out

GÁBOR|Telid

Telid Keeps It Real Words by Ke’Vea S. Blayton

You are one of the most controversial rappers of the underground scene when it comes to the LGBTQ! What’s your take on that? I mean… I’m that bitch period. I say what I mean,

and I mean what I say. If me choosing not to

dick ride popular artists make me controversial so be it. I may say things others are “scared” to say or worried about looking “messy”. I never cared about that.

Ok, I hear you. You are a very opinionated person for sure. What’s your take on the underground scene so far? Everybody want to be the top “girl”. Nobody wants to see

others win. Of course there are the few that support

others, but as a majority the support level is horrible. Even the people that’s bubbling under like Santana, & Kidd Kenn don’t support as they should. Partially because the gays won’t support the gays, other part is clout. If you have clout they will work with you and try to make moves. Hence why Kenn & Santana have songs with Cliff & help promote the collabs. When they work with underground artists they never promote. It’s horrible.

The standpoint on well known & underground is a big difference. You made valid points. You are also a very talented artist! I love how animated you are & the thought you put into your bars! Bars are actually what’s been missing a lot in music as a whole! Do you agree? Yes! I feel like they picking people that are popular. Popular does not equal talented. Like the

BET cypher. Kidd Kenn delivered those mediocre, baby city girl ass bars. The gays are on this super ratchet wave & trying to brand from it. I can understand if that’s your personality & that’s what you give. Even if you do it for a song or two to catch a vibe, but everybody don’t need to be doing that. It looks so rehearsed. Had they put a bitch like me, IGotBarzz, King Dreshon, Ayo Bliss, or even another youngin like King Junior in that bitch that’s hungry we would’ve went dummy. Barzzzzzzz across the board. Actually going toe to toe with the straight rappers, represenTING. We need to separate entertainers from the artist.

You are definitely right about the people you named. They’ve been spitting for years & grinding. The ratchet wave is slowly dying in my opinion but on another note. You have been known to be in a lot of Twitter beefs & exchanges with many rappers! I would think a person like you enjoy it. I honestly just don’t give a fuck. If a hoe putting on shoes that they ain’t buy & wasn’t gifted, that’s a personal problem. WEAR THEM HOES PROUDLY! These rappers be pissed when I speak the truth or talk indirectly, but I have NEVER LIED. Just like that Parks radio shit. Everybody was calling me messy, a hater, negative all type of shit. When they released them results BABY!!!! If I had a dollar for every DM that came back and said “YOU WAS RIGHT THE WHOLE TIME” I’d be a rich bitch. Moral of the story I like most of these bitches to be honest. That still doesn’t exempt them from a honest opinion. Respect it.

You are definitely one who spare no one! I can give you that! You were apart of a collaboration called “Boyz In The Hood” with Isaiah C & Young KSB! We all seen the video & next thing we know everything was gone. What happened ? He was a hating ass hoe. Me and Young KSB carried the track with skill and personality. We also had the better looks and shots in the video. Everything Isaiah wore was a mess, and he rapped off beat. The nurse outfit was making everybody sick, and the chained bra wasn’t locking down shit. Her friends should be fired (if he has any). However, I was new and being paid for the track, and getting new “free” footage for content. I was in no way to pass that. He was also insecure about the video because I was a last minute decision because another rapper was not able to do it. So the whole situation was a mess honestly. I’m just glad I don’t fuck with the bitch no more because she is a Super Fan, and Biggest hater all in one. She’s a weirdo. KSB didn’t even do nothing to him, so what would be the reason of deleting the video other than hate. So that’s what happened. Why do you think gay rappers can’t get along? It’s a envy thing. They want to be the best, as we all should. However they take it to a new level with the whole “why them & not me” mindset. I also think, like me & my last situation it could be personal behind the scenes as well. You try to be social & network with the girls, & sometimes the connection just isn’t valid. I think they could get along, everyone just needs to stop being so sensitive as I mentioned earlier.

Ok. What’s some new things we can expect from you in 2022?

Definitely more QUALITY photo shoots. More music of course, and a whole

lotta MESH. A new podcast is definitely in the works. I want to start a blog/gossip podcast where I get a chance to freely express my opinions. I’ll also be revealing new ambassador deals. I’m trying to be booked and BUSY.

I know that’s right! There ain’t nothing wrong with that! You definitely have a mouth for podcast! So you told us what we can expect so do you think you have a big year on your hands for 2022 ? We look forward to seeing it.

Oh yes! Beyond all the shit talking I do & everything I just said, I did complete both part 1 and 2 of my Hawk Season Mixtape. I plan to really take promoting my music to a new level. I got some tricks up my sleeve that’s definitely going to bring the attention. My talent will not continue to be over looked behind fake streams, likes, and followers. I’m demanding attention, grasping listeners, and keeping bitches on they toes bar for bar.

GÁBOR|Mental Health MENTAL HEALTH

WHY DEPRSSION IS RUINING OUR COMMUNITY THE CHOKEHOLD MENTAL HEALTH HAS ON THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY! Words by Ke’Vea S. Blayton

Depression is one of the biggest diseases in our community! Many people we love & care about has lost to this everlasting illness that most try their best to sweep under the rug. The fight must continue cause we cannot lose anymore loved ones. This is something that can definitely be defeated! The death rate for depression is at an all time high! It’s the fourth leading cause of death in ages ranging from 15-29 years old & not to mention over 700,000 people die from depression each year by way of committing suicide. You never know what a person is battling on the inside due to most people trying to their best to cover it up with a smile so you’d never think of anything bad. Some people feel like they have nobody to go too cause they believe no one would really care what’s going on with them anyway. Our generation has this thing of wanting to be perfect in every way possible that when someone who deals with depression & anxiety tries to vent or communicate to someone it goes nowhere because they are brushed off. People who don’t suffer with

Understand how they could make someone feel when they’re not listening to them or hear their cry for help. You never know the life you can be saving just by responding to a text, answering the phone, giving advice, checking in, being that shoulder to cry on when no one else is available. All of that is helpful! It may not work all the time cause some who deal with depression on an everyday basis may feel like their only way out is death which is always sad to see once it’s done & over. We must all stand together to prevent this from happening in our community. It’s also sad to say that social media has become one of the biggest triggers to depression! Just by seeing someone else’s life is getting to the heads of our friends & ones we call family. The thought of feeling like you’re not good enough since you don’t have the car, designer clothes, money, etc. This all must come to an end & soon! We can win this fight! We will win this fight! We have to & we must win this fight!

Keys to being a successful artist 1. Passion - Music has to be something you truly love & adore! You have to really want it & be hungry for it. The passion shows in lyrics, meaning, songs, how you go about things concerning your artistry. Many will know if it’s something you’re really passionate about or if you just doing it for clout! 2. Image - A fire ass image can go a long ass way! Music & an image go hand to hand in the industry. The look you have embraces the music you make, the style you want people to see & how much fashion sense you truly have! Everybody wanna be a fan of a fly ass motherfucker! It’s sometimes all about the aesthetic & the way the game is now…..your image can get you in the door even if you have trash music cause you’re appealing to the eyes. It’s very tricky! 3. Music - The music is a key factor to who you are & represent as a artist! Good music is hard to come by these days! The feeling that was had & listened to in the 90s going into the early 00s was unmatched! Now in the new era all you really need is a bop! A hot ass club track or a track with a good beat & catchy hook is the way to go! Lyricism is missed but it’s not hot at the moment & you need what’s hot if you want to be in the hip-hop world of the new era. If not take the route to another 4. Social Media - Most hate it while genre! a lot seems to love it! Social Media plays a huge part into today’s music market! These days people are getting signed just by how many followers they have! The platform helps you grow a fanbase & get discovered without having to perform, build street teams or radio play! Just by going viral can get you a big break in the industry. It’s all about how you play the game in this day & age. It has to be played someway but I wouldn’t suggest selling your soul. 5.Team - A hardworking team that has your best interest at heart is rare to find in a industry full of snakes! A manager & PR is the most perfect thing an artist can have when they’re trying to reach that next level. Most can get you in the doors you were made to storm through! Some people get lucky & blow before ever having a team but for the majority it’s definitely needed!

6. Fanbase - A fanbase is not a want it’s a need! You tell me what would you do without fans? You need fans so people would know there’s folks out there that’s going up for yo shit! A loyal fanbase is pot of gold!

I still was getting the unfair treatment even after the cast was barely doing much & we could barely find places to film so after me & my boyfriend took the step to provide places to film. Karon still didn’t care & didn’t give a fuck! He was still willing to be shady with me so I just can’t deal. So looking at the show, many people would

think you’re a shit starting hater! I’m sure you’ve seen the comment section, how do you feel about that? I’ve definitely seen them comments & Itssssss fabulousssssss! One thing about me I can def be the villain because I have thick ass skin! One thing a bitch can’t do is make me mad or break me because it’s all jokes & fun for me. You don’t like me ? Oh really ? You want me to cry (laughs) I’ve been called heck of stuff but I have no problem being a villain & I’m making the show good & juicy! I’m giving y’all something to talk about & of course if I wasn’t here it wouldn’t be a show! I love these questions honey! I feel you on that. Do you feel like the show has helped your music career? Eh, barely I’ve helped my own career. I tried to use this platform for that, yes it did bring me

more of a fanbase but it hasn’t helped shit for real but give me hell from folks I don’t know. (Laughs)

Yikes! So who would you say you had the biggest beef with on the show? I was thinking it would be Deion but really it’s Patricia Star from SpongeBob , show with just us & having a chance to showcase our talents & our real lives versus a show like Love Woody from Toy Story, & Crocker From fairy Oddparents. and Hip Hop where they show the fake part of LGBTQ , but of course me not knowing it’s always What would you tell anyone who wants to do an reality tv web series? some fraudulent behavior. Drecember G-Status: ATL Hustle Words by Ke’Vea S. Blayton

So a lot people say you have nothing going on, broke, homeless, etc. You seem like someone who don’t fake anything. So is any of these allegations true? Yes, I’m #ALLOFTHEABOVE (laughs). Honestly we as humans

like things that excite the senses- we need to touch, taste, smell,

see things to verify their existence. If I was any of these things bring the proof. I have nothing going on but I’ve been on projects every year since I stepped into this arena. I’m broke but I’ve invested more money along with others into these reality projects than paid out. I’m homeless because I travel & nobody has been to my residence. As I said I’m publicly private. Everything surrounding the name Drecember is a myth or mystery. I never clarify nor verify anything. I feel social media has destroyed any mystique to being a public figure. People flaunt money & residences online & get killed, shot, targeted. People are too trusting with these strangers they consider friends. Nobody knows anything about me so they THINK UP shit. It’s only added to the mystery behind Drecember. I’m #ALLOFTHEABOVE until further notice. Ok! Do you ever get tired of the negativity that comes from the shows? Nobody is Superman. Things in this realm definitely can

wear on you. My issues stem more so from clashes with producers than cast or the public opinions. I always say “if you put yourself out for public consumption don’t be shocked with how you’re consumed”. They might love you or hate you & of course negativity will be paid more attention than positivity. I get so much love but so much hate as well, it comes with the territory. I’ve been doing this for five years but dealing with it for 28. I was very popular in high school- best dressed, prom king runner up, class secretary. Even in college I was president of the biggest organization on campus & went overseas to study in Europe as a representative for my college. Like I said I’ve always aimed to be the top dog- I’m a Capricorn & we are social climbers. The higher you climb the more people are watching with their opinions. If it was gonna fold me I would’ve been gone season one of G-Status. Especially being the villain. Bad guys get a bad rep but are the most transparent characters. Heavy is the head that bears the crown & I have no plans of giving it up anytime soon because a bitch or two in the comments have an opinion. I signed up to be the talk of the town so let the town talk! It seems like a lot of reality stars for web series always have issues with producers.

What made you want to be apart of G-Status? I first auditioned to work as a production assistant on G-Status: ATL Hustle after I was introduced to the LGBTQ web series

What’s going on like that? world working as a production assistant on season 1 of the show “Chasing Atlanta”. I was already doing background work From my perspective & experience these “producers” come into this as a way to flex their ego instead of add to the

when I moved to Atlanta on shows like VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” & “Leave It To Stevie” as well as movies but the realm of LGBTQ creativity. A lot of times you get exploited in return for exposure. I don’t even have to say any namesbackground wasn’t for me at all. So when I came across G-Status: ATL Hustle the producers needed a certain void to be you can see what projects have further added to the false narrative & played into the stereotypes that plague the gay filled in the cast & along came me. The rest is history! community. These are independent productions that have very little funding & ran by in my opinion sissies with big egos & a few cameras. If you don’t play like they want you will feel the wrath through editing or being edited out. Some shows Ok I see you! That’s what’s up. Do you feel like the show portrays who you really are? will have you invest 24 hours out of your day just to do a sub par job editing or let the show go to shit or rest in what’s Season 1 yes! I knew what was required of me & I was ok with it. I was casted to be the villain & it was nothing outside my called “production hell”. That’s when a show never comes out or is pushed into the far future to come out. I’ve seen it & comfort zone. The villains are the ones who spice it up, get to the bottom of things, the ingredients at the bottom of the bottle experienced it all. But these producers don’t understand the audience is not dumb & the talent isn’t paid to be quiet that you have to shake really good to make the drink more flavorful (laughs). I’m like that in real life- fun, exciting & edgy. I about things. You left nothing on table! What hate that I fought on camera but it is what it is- throw something at me in real life or knock something out my hand in real life

would you say to anyone who wants to be involved with reality tv? & it’s a wrap. I’m a firm believer in self defense. Season 2 however was a different beast. I wanted to show a different aspect of

Know what you want out of this because you may

get that, more or nothing at all. I didn’t come my personality behind the scenes turmoil caused me to depart from the show. Once that happened I became a casualty of into this wanting to emulate reality tv icons & figures I watched. I always wanted to be an terrible editing. The producer took his vengeance for me quitting by editing me to look beyond crazy & recruited the help of entertainer & put my personality in front of a broader audience. I was an anchorman & board my cast mates. It’s unfortunate but that’s show business sometimes. member for my colleges media club in undergrad & doing that pushed me out of my comfort You are definitely one to shake a lot up from multiple shows you’ve been on. The platforms tend zone & gave me a taste for what was to come as far as being on a camera & showing my comfort or discomfort. I learned & once I got here I wasn’t a deer in headlights like others I’ve to help people in their real life with what they do! Has being on shows helped you in anyway? seen. People think they are made for this but this may not be made for them. Understand who

Yes. It’s given me exposure to people in places around the world that I can only hope to travel to in the future & the exposure has opened doors to you are & what you want out of this because reality is not like scripted shows. The audience

other opportunities. People like to downplay being on these shows because the majority of the time you’re paid in exposure but it can help those of us will sniff out the fakes & chew up the phonies which is why I’ve had so much longevity while who command the time in the spotlight tremendously. I like to be the most remembered in anything I do & I’ve definitely made my mark in this arena. I being a character whose shown somewhat the least on the platforms I’ve been on. It’s never forced & if you have to force it this isn’t for you. get so much love as well as hate but all polarizing personalities experience that. Me making my name known to millions through these shows is my

stepping stone to the big league because lots of people want to be here & never will be here. I got myself here & it’s only going to get better. All publicity is good publicity! You just have to know how to capitalize. I see your name pops up in blogs a lot due to beef with your cast members. Why do so many people dislike you? I’m brutally honest. I live in reality & see things that others don’t see or try not to see. It’s a Capricorn thing- earth signs are down to earth. I’m very aware of myself & had a very good idea of who I was as a person before I came in this game. Lots of people look for validation through the camera & attention but I don’t. I’m a strong personality, I command any room I’m in & that intimidates people. Plus I’m a comedian- I can take the truth, soak it in comedy & destroy any opponent (laughs). This is what leads people to wanting to get physical. My mouth is lethal & I’m very aware of myself while also being very private about my personal life. That can lead you to making enemies along the road to success especially when you’re a big name like Drecember that’s obviously bound to make it big. I’ve made more rivals than friends over the five years being in this game & I’m fine with it. Because the next level will only bring the same. I try to learn from every battle.

GÁBOR|Dominique Reedy

Dominique Reedy Chasing: Atlanta Words by Ke’Vea S. Blayton What was the deciding factor that made you want to audition for Chasing Atlanta for Chasing Reality? I’ve always wanted to show young gay boys that’s it’s okay to be different & feminine. Once

I saw Chasing: Atlanta that showcased talent, shade, & people like me I made it my mission to be casted. Do you think Chasing Atlanta has brought value to your profession? How was the grooming for you before the platform? Chasing Atlanta has brought ALOT of notoriety to my businesses. However business has always been busy but now I’m busier than ever with new careers developing. I’ll forever be thankful for this amazing exposure. That’s great to hear. Now you made a very splashy debut on the show & your outfits turned heads! How does it feel being there fashion guru of the show? Being called the “ Fashion Guru” of Chasing: Atlanta is an honor. Fashion is our way of self expression. I’m

looking to catch people’s attention through my styling. Being seen as “the fashion kid” of the season has led to many brand ambassadorships & modeling gigs. Again, I’m thankful. Amazing! So, who would you say isn’t your cup

of tea on the show?

& shadiness is the true reason people I think with reality tv the beefing

watch. Throughout the seasons I’ve found my forever friends like Troy & Riko. However I’ve clashed with Travis & Oliver in the past but things are better now. Stay tuned for Season 5 to see even more explosive moments between a few cast members & I.

Hmmm ok. So many reality stars for web series always have spats with producers! How is your relationship with your producers? My experience has been awesome.

I’ve had disagreements but they’ve always been respectful & responsible with my story. When it comes to production things can get mixxy & messy in these YouTube webseries streets. Luckily, I haven’t had to deal with that.

That’s a fucking blessing! So relationships sometimes get strained when showcased on reality tv! Has anything impacted your relationship? I was never hesitant about showcasing my relationship. I’ve

always been the type that wants to inspire the younger generation. Things aren’t perfect but I was confident that our foundation was strong enough to survive reality tv. Here we are 8 years in, stronger than ever.

Most don’t last in this community! So most people once they get on reality tv they like to stay as long as possible even years. Some say this because any type of fame is a drug. I see Lauryn bowed out gracefully! Do you plan to stay on chasing atl for a long time?

Being on a major show like Chasing:Atlanta can be somewhat

addictive. However I don’t see me staying years. Dealing with multiple people personalities is draining. Hopefully I can follow in Lauryn footsteps & get my own spin off. What would you say to anyone who wants to do a reality tv web series? When auditioning for these show you

have to be yourself. No matter how hard you try the audience will be able to tell if you’re faking it. Being different is the better than blending & remember, “ Be Iconic!”

GÁBOR|Bryan “Vigoruz”

Bryan “Vigoruz” TSWDFL Words by Ke’Vea S. Blayton So everybody has seen on The Shit We Do For Love! How did that come about? Well I remember when “TSWDFL” was just an idea. I worked with Kevon Burns on a

monologue that he had written & he expressed the fact that he wanted to produce a dating show. So of course he executed his plan like he normally does. During their taping of season one, he offered me the opportunity to go on their cast trip & I immediately said yes.

Knowing that you said yes! We’re you ever hesitant when you were on your way to film the show? Honestly, I was never hesitant. Nervous? Yes! Only because I was getting ready to be around people I didn’t know, but not because of the cameras or anything. I feel you. Do you feel like you should’ve been a main cast member after getting a good response just by having a friend role? I feel like at this point I’ve proven myself

to be a very honest, open & REAL person. My personality speaks for itself, with that being said I feel like I should definitely have a peach & be main cast; a lot of fans of the show thinks so as well. Do you feel like the show has gave you a bigger fanbase for your music?

I don’t think the show has given me a bigger fanbase. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that I’m just a “friend of the show” & I don’t use the name “Vigoruz” on the show. However, you just may hear some of my music on the show this upcoming season. Why aren’t you using your stage name? That’s a way of promotion

don’t you think?

& build real friendships, but I did which Initially I didn’t know I’d go on the show is one of the few reasons I’m still on the show. But yeah, of course it’s a great way of promotion & you may have just given me an idea.

I know that’s right! We noticed you’re never at reunions! Why so? To be honest, I was definitely present

at both reunions! I feel like anytime it got to specific segments, shit got crazy. So considering that & the fact we’re on a time schedule, I’d assume that’s why I was never actually asked questions by the host. Who would you say you aren’t a fan of out

of the entire cast? I wouldn’t say that I’m not a fan of anyone on the cast. However, I do have my favorites which are D’Angelo, Damian & Noel. I just know that they are 100% who they are on & off camera. What would you say to anyone that wants to do a reality tv web series? I’d say BE YOURSELF, don’t try hard & just let moments happen. Don’t try to create them! If you’re secure & confident in yourself & your personality you’ll automatically be “The Moment.”

It fees very rewarding to know we're able to give this opportunity to our community.

time is but every year we see Ok. We know how important pride promoters & organizations pay for mainstream music artist & socialites to attend but you have took a different approach where your events has catered to the underground gay rappers so what made you do that?

amazing talent that gets over looked I noticed in our community that we have and the entertainment industry. Then to turn around in out same community not support or uplift our upcoming, & indie entertainers. I felt like the right platform and acknowledgement had to start somewhere. So I wanted to give the platform and highlight talented LGBTQ artist & performers What can you say has been some of your biggest highlights so far? Biggest highlight I feel so far is organization itself being a 501c3 non

profit organization is an accomplishment in itself. Creating the first Black pride in South Florida in 1 year and continue to grow. Also while being a single parent.

Have anyone with a huge name took notice of the things you are doing

for your community?

that will go on for generations to come. Building financial family wealth and knowledge on the my children & grandchildren.

Do you have any last words for the people? I will say, that I'm humbly blessed to be able to give back in the community and there's more to come and store from Donald & Afro Pride.

GÁBOR|Project Ratings

Project Ratings Black Fairy

Rap W/A Twist Fairy Tale Records

This project definitely started off on a good foot. A solid project is hard to come by in this era of music but we at GÁBOR believe Black Fairy may have executed that very well. We knew he was a problem ever since he dropped “Vogue”! He serves it up on “Rap W/A Twist” with many uptempo tracks with the sound that he’s known

for! Listening to everything from start to finish these songs are definitely giving party vibes & turning up. The Florida appeal is shown throughout every fast track. He reminds me of a crossover between many hot artist we love that made music with the Florida sound! If 69 Boyz & Dis-N-Dat had musical kids together, Black Fairy would be one of them! He gets personal on tracks like “Letter To My X’s“ & a very well performed “BLM” which anyone should love if you care about the movement. We hope to see more personal tracks on the next project but this one was well put together & the lyrics & wordplay was up to par we must say!

Troy Lux

Synthetic Reality

This project comes from a very underrated artist! When we sat down to listen to this effort we all agreed that this sounds like something that could be catapulted into a pop/hip-hop type of field. The songs are very aesthetically combined & put together. Troy Lux came with his head on right for most of these tracks without a doubt. His sound is different. There’s a few we couldn’t really vibe out to but for the most part the project is a good body of work for the type of artist he is! we agree that he’s criminally underrated & some tracks thats as automatic listen is the first 6 tracks! They definitely set the fucking tone & were placed just right. We also loved “ Bump In The Night”, “Big Mouth” & “End Of The World”! If he’s writing all these songs then he’s definitely something to be reckoned with cause the pen game over those specific beats are amazing.

Kennedy Dior

Kennedy

This debut project caught us guard for real! I don’t think anybody was expecting this release but you know we at GÀBOR got into it & decided to listen. We can say out of the 3 tracks that’s on the EP that the one that stick out the most to us was “Self Made”! The beat was hard as fuck now! The lyrics were really good & told a story of her upbringing in Chicago which really set the tone for the track. The other songs could’ve brought the same feel as that one & if they did we believe it would’ve been something to fuck with even more. None the less it takes real courage for a transgender woman to step into a recording studio & rap! That’s something that most are scared to do but it shows Kennedy has a lot of heart cause it’s definitely not easy for them! We feel she’s putting on for her community & looking really good while doing it. The style is incredible, the image gives you bad bitch & the confidence can’t be denied at all. So we salute her for what she does without a fuck to give!

JayLing

Late To The Party Now we must say that this body of work surprised the shit out of us at GÁBOR! Let’s keep it all the way real! We went into listening to this project on the outs cause we didn’t truly know what to expect but this shit had all types of vibes to where you constantly wanna move, rap, sing, etc. It’s hot as fuck! JayLing sound is very unique. The r&b cuts on the project that transitioned into rap tracks were a breath of fresh air. The messages in the lyrics were also very relatable. His voice is also a plus cause you can feel everything he spitting & singing! The 9 track effort was a great release even though we know some may not agree but that’s cool.We believe he got something coming to him with this project! The only song we feel has to grow on us a little bit is “Love Them”! The boy did his motherfucking thing though.

Melange

Now if the 90s came back to the Hip-Hop scene this shit would’ve went platinum! The bars were a fucking 10! A lot of people aren’t rhyming like this anymore especially in the era where talent doesn’t matter. Paxsir stuck to who he was & didn’t switch up to fit in at all. The lyricism was crazy! There was time we had to rewind a song back just to hear certain parts again like “ What the fuck did he just say!” His lyricism, wordplay, cadence & syntax was reading very well. A true artist would definitely understand where we are coming from when listening to this project. This the type of shit you can just spit back to back without a fuck to give & not caring who’s there to witness! He brought back that old school feel with the type of tracks that’s on this project! The element of true Hip-Hop is dearly missed today! The evidence is in the way he flows! It sucks to know that he’s retiring from music cause talent like that don’t come by easy especially with that touch from the golden era cause that’s rare as fuck. Lyrically the shit is a 10/10! The songs are hitting from a raw standpoint & the shit is authentically fire. There’s not much else to say about it.

Master

The Meltdown

This project gave us a good feel. The production alone was incredible! We absolutely loved the production that was done throughout each song. The beats were fire & definitely banging on some shit for real. What we like about Master is that he can ride a beat effortlessly! That’s something a lot of artist cannot do in this era! He ripped shit without a doubt. Now the songs we fucked with the most were “Meltdown”,”AKA”, “Range Rover” “.5”, “Code Name” & “Fake Friend”!The others were good songs but we didn’t feel like they were hitting hard as the ones we named! It still doesn’t take away from how great of a rapper he is! The project is definitely well worth a listen & purchase! His sound is nice & bounces on the beat just like only he could!

Khan Tease

The debut project from new artist on the scene Khan is what we call slight work. The best track on the project is definitely “Bad Attitude”! The beat was bananas, the feature was crazy & the hook is extremely catchy! You’ll really find yourself repeating it nonstop & rewinding it! It just hit that damn good. What we can say is that he has the catchy hooks down pack. The hook on “ Cleaners” was another W for him! He clears with that one & that’s another good beat. The final track we fucked with was “Tease”. we see why the video was shot to that song. It was a good song none the less. The first 2 songs we feel could’ve used some work. They just wasn’t a real vibe & the attention catching wasn’t there like the last 3 was. We feel he could’ve came better & much harder. Those sounded like he wasn’t really serious & the production could’ve been handled better also. That’s a major key!

Reb3l

Billy

Listening to this project we came to an agreement that this one gave off pure “I don’t give a fuck” vibes! The attitude of it all was the shit. We love an unapologetic artist who stands by what they say & how they feel the right way! The tracklisting was in the best order cause the songs we’re definitely going hard one after another. We felt some bars could’ve been stronger, beats could’ve been a little different to fit certain songs & more punchlines would’ve served a difference as well! We feel like he knows what direction & sound he’s truly going for though. We’ve been scoping out Reb3l for a while & Seeing his moves. We hope to see more from him! The next project should definitely outdo this one as every artist strives to outdo themselves each time they drop! We salute Reb3l most definitely & have our eyes on his work.
