Lawrence, KS Designer and Builder August 2017 - Present

In the final year of the Masters program at the University of Kansas, a group of 17 students design and build all aspects of a LEED platinum house. I was in charge of HVAC layout, LEED documentation, metal design and fabrication and helped in many other aspects of the project. This program is known world-wide for modern, sustainable design while also allowing the students complete control over the entire project.

DLA Architects

Itasca, IL Intern May 2017 - August 2017 Modeled design concepts for K-12 education. Created feasibility studies and weighed options for phasing, new additions, and new construction. Worked on classroom programming and library layouts, Red-lined schematic designs in revit and sketchup. Created proposal for new signage for entire township.

Dotte Agency - University of Kansas

Lawrence, KS Fabricator / Teacher’s Assistant October 2016 - May 2017 Assisted architects from Dotte Agency with presentations of work and fabricating designs such as park signage, bike racks, and interactive park exercise equipment.

HGA Architects & Engineers Milwaukee, WI Intern May 2016 - August 2016 Worked in Public/Corporate practice group directly under Design Principal. Modeled in Auto-CAD, Revit, and Sketchup with rendering and visuals created in Adobe Suite. Researched sustainability programs and created presentation to help firm incorporate green design in each project. 4

The waterway fresh grocery store is located in a food desert, a place where there is no reasonably close healthy grocery store. In order to create a central hub of activity for the community this

grocery store works with the landscape to allow an all day experience that ends with the customer living a healthier life. A futsal pavilion allows the children to be active while parents can shop and learn in the education kitchen inside.

This project focused on addressing sea level rise with three techniques: adapt, retreat, and defend.

Donald Judd was known for his proportionality and that is what the donald judd museum is based upon. The facade pushes and pulls to emphasize certain aspects of the program while also creating deliberate glass walls for daylighting and views.

Visualization

This is a conceptual design for a medical office building in Brookfield, WI that was presented to our client. My contribution to the project was site design, building modeling in revit, rendering using V-Ray. In order to meet the client’s requests and budget, a simple precast material was chosen with an interesting metal panel entrance.
