The importance of meetings, conventions, expos, and conferences has grown exponentially. Today’s market is characterized by too few commodities to meet an increase in demand. This means that the number of meetings held each year results in increased competition for available properties, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees. Examples of WinWin Programming Sales Conference | Hertz Car Rental “Every year we hold an annual sales conference in which all our account executives around the country participate to learn about new products and sales techniques. We decided to have a Refresh Station at our conference last year and will do so for years to come. The Refresh Station allowed for people to have a 10 minute chair massage which made them more relaxed, energized, and productive throughout the conference. It also allowed for them to know how much we appreciate them. Women Lawyers Exposition| Indiana State University
UM School of Medicine, Duke, and Georgetown Universities conducted a study in which groups of subjects received 10-15-minute chair massages while other groups rested for the same period of time. EEG results showed that subjects who received chair massages, had a decrease in alpha and beta brain waves (indicating greater alertness) and an increase in delta waves (suggesting they were more relaxed.)

We were worried about getting enough traffic to one area of the expo so we created a Spa Oasis that offered 15 minute chair massage, 20 minute manicures, and paraffin wax.
