IEEE 802.11n is the most up to date wireless standard. It supports up to 300Mbps data rate, which amazingly delivers up to 12 times faster speed than 802.11g. With MIMO antenna technology, the 802.11n devices use the signal reflections to increase the range and eliminate “dead spots”. Comparing with 802.11g network, 802.11n devices can reach 4 times farther coverage. The interoperability and security of PLANET 802.11n products are proven by global users. PLANET 802.11n solution performs very well in a unified standard environment, and still stays backward compatible with existing 802.11g and 802.11b networks.

IEEE 802.11g standard was ratified in 2003. After all these years, this standard is well-developed and mature. Therefore, this series of products provide a cost-effective and stable wireless solution. The Super G series is using Atheros chipsets which implement patented XR technology. The XR (eXtended Range) technology integrates separate optimized designs for high performance (108Mbps) in a high signal-to-noise ratio environment and long range in a low signal-to-noise ratio environment. The Super G series can achieve 2 times faster speed and 3 times farther coverage than 802.11g devices.

Wireless MESH Network For truly Wireless network connectivity, PLANET MESH Access Point, MAP-3020, is designed with IEEE 802.11a/b/g standards and addressed on providing a high performance MESH network. It provides local wireless connectivity at any location over a self-adaptation mesh backhaul. All mesh nodes can operate at 2.4GHz for long range and better penetration, or at 5GHz to minimize the frequency interference. The two detachable N-Type antennae design allows users to use proper antennae for various deploying requirements. Each MAP-3020 forms an individual operational node, and it will automatically locate and associate to the existing MESH network. Deploying with single IP segment, the MAP-3020 builds a Layer 2 mesh network, which is easy in installation and management.
