DREAM CONDO 4
concept & inspiration
The design for the dream condo was based on the idea of being your own client. This design embraces who I am as not only a person but as an up and coming designer. I consider myself traditional in both my values and my brand. I look at the world as if the glass is half full, my career as a constant journey and my work as an ongoing adventure. All three of these aspects I believe are parallel to a perfect romance.
For this project, we are traveling to Paris, France. I am working at a high end residential French design firm called Chahan Interior Design located in the historical left bank of Paris about two blocks away from River Seine.
The plan is designed to create an intimate, soft, and welcoming environment that promotes a positive work place and strong relationship to design. Every detail that has been incorporated in this condo has been well thought through in order to create an intimate place perfected to the small details.

TOUCHDOWN LOUNGE 10
concept & inspiration
The design for the colony was a part of the ASID Touchdown Lounge Competition. Members for this project are Jessica Stevenson, Christa Wright, Isamar Sierra-Cruz & myself.
Inspiration behind the concept stemmed from the systematic function of a beehive. The luxurious airport lounge located in San Francisco, California offers customers a variety of services such as retail space, eat-in area, collaborative, social and focus areas catering to your specific needs and private conference rooms adjacent to the computer stations.
Throughout the space, the design is reflected in a natural color palette, natural woods, geometric patterns in floor plan and materials. The systematic function of a beehive comes into the design in 4 categories: royal bee, worker bee, forager bee & the pollinators.

concept & inspiration
The design for the W.I.P.P. San Antonio Headquarters is based on the idea of balance of power. Inherent in this idea is the relationship of balnce and imbalance.
Inspiration for this space creates a picture of minimal design, clean lines, and contrasting black and white tones. Natural woods create a cozy feel transforming a typical office to feel like home. The idea behind choosing this type of design is to symbolize strength and confidence. Rather than describing modern minimal design as masculine, think of a group of confident women and you’ll see how powerful this message is.
Throughout the space, the design is reflected in a variety of bold black and white patterned wall paper, warm leather finishes and pops of green to represent wealth and prospertity.
The space is kept bright and open due to the amount of natural light and a minimal amount of closed spaces. Open spaces are designed for collaboration and a sense of community.

ROLLING OAKS 22
concept & inspiration
For this Assisted Living & Memory Care community, most of the users suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and have lost most if not all their memories. I want to take resident’s back to their youth. A time they are thriving and living their life to the fullest. The concept for Rolling Oaks Community is based on the phrase of Nostalgia. Nostalgia is defined as “a sentimental longing for the past. A place with happy personal memories.” It is important to create a space where the users not only feel safe but feel at home. Rolling Oaks in Wimberley will create an environment that brings back happy memories of youth and design aspects of the 60’s.
The style of the 60’s is what they call the “mid-century modern” style. Hippy, bold colors, lots of gold and wood accents with geometric patterns. Blending this style with a rustic hill country feel that’s iconic for Wimberley. Using materials like local limestone and wood from local cypress and oak trees. The science behind how and where nostalgia is triggered in the brain is connected to where you store memories and emotions. The two biggest triggers of nostalgia are smell and sound.

confidential client - spec suites
I worked in the Workplace Interiors studio at Ziegler Cooper Architects who’s main clients were various tenant’s throughout the Greater Houston area. I first interned for them Summer 2019 and later worked full time as a Design Professional after gradutation. Many of our projects were short and face paced and therefore exposed me to every aspect of the design process from the programming phase to construction administration. The Spec Suites showcased to the left were for a client that wanted to revamp a couple of their existing suites in order to get them ready for a future tenant ready to sign and move in as soon as possible. Our job was to create a space that is clean and modern while incorporating design trends with a low budget.
