Provided with a NAIT Dormitory design from a previous student, the task was to create a full set of construction drawings in AutoCAD® complete with floorplans, elevations, sections, and details. A symbol, wall, floor, and parapet schedule were created to assist in explaining the building materials used for each assembly.

SKETCHUP
I was supplied with a floorplan and elevations from AutoCAD®. The objective was to create a 3D model in SketchUp® complete with finish materials. Textures and finishes were added to the building in SketchUp® along with plants and people in order to populate the space. The model was then rendered in iRender® and enhanced in Photoshop® with layered background images to create a realistic environment.
THE SMITH’S RESIDENCE The Smith’s Residence was built in SketchUp® based on a provided floorplan and roof plan. The interior and exterior spaces were populated with vegetation and entourage and rendered using Enscape®.

This is my design for the NAIT Dormitory located in the Westwood area of Edmonton, Alberta. The concept for this building was Progress, as NAIT embodies progress with the growth and development of their students. Along with intellectual progress, this dormitory also provides a place for social growth. The exterior design represents the concept with the use of stacked building blocks. These changes in height show the different levels of progress and the progression from one point to another. The perspective and elevation views were hand drawn and hand rendered, and the floorplans were completed using AutoCADÂŽ.
MAIN FLOOR PLAN
ATB BANK DESIGN The objective was to design an ATB Bank Branch with an attached community space on the main floor and with office space on the upper floors. This original design is to be located in the Quarters District in downtown Edmonton, Alberta.
PROJECTS
The design is inspired by ATB and their inclusive nature of all types of people being welcomed into a positive banking environment with a wide array of diverse services. Designed with the concept of Inclusion, this building is comprised of diverse parts that all come together into a unified design. The community space is comprised of a retail/ exhibit space for the maker community to sell their handmade products, with an attached arts and crafts studio for workshops and classes. The floorplans were created in AutoCAD速 and exported to SketchUp速 where the 3D model was built and rendered using iRender速. Finally, the rendered images were enhanced in Photoshop速 complete with entourage and layered background images.
