GENERAL INFORMATION Welcome! You are invited to participate in the premiere gathering for Kansas veterinary professionals. The KVMA Convention had a rich history of providing excellent continuing education and fellowship before discontinuing in the early 2000’s. The KVMA Executive Board is bringing the convention back. The convention will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Manhattan (410 S. 3rd Street). The location is familiar to many with plenty of meeting space, convenient parking and easy access. You will enjoy this meeting for quality KVMA continuing education, fun and fellowship!

REGISTRATION

Registration is required for admission to the meeting. Your 3-day registration includes all educational sessions, poster session, career fair, access to the Trade Show, all refreshment breaks, and lunches. Early-bird registration deadline is Friday, January 27, 2017 to receive the advance registration rate. Registrations received by fax, e-mail or on-line after this date must include an additional $50 late fee. Checks should be made payable to the KVMA. Payment will also be accepted by Visa, Master Card and Discover. You may register online at www.ksvma.org. NEW! Proceedings will be available for download prior to the meeting. Information on printing your speaker notes will be provided in advance. There will be a $40 charge for printed proceedings.

PROCEEDINGS NOTES

Speaker notes will be made available in advance of the meeting via e-mail for registrants. When you receive your registration confirmation, there will be instructions included on how to access the notes in advance of the meeting. If you wish to purchase a printed copy, the cost will be $40. You may pick up your proceedings at the Registration Desk at the meeting.

CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES

Friday, February 3, 2017 - 10 am - 6 pm Saturday, February 4, 2017 - 7 am - 5 pm Sunday, February 5, 2017 - 7 am - 1 pm

Changes in your registration may be made with the KVMA office until January 27, 2017. Cancellation of meeting registration must be made in writing and received no later than January 27, 2017 to receive a full refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after January 27, 2017 or for “no shows”.

NAME BADGES | MEAL TICKETS

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

Name badges will be required for participation in all sessions, poster session, career fair and exhibit viewing. Meal tickets will be required, and will be collected, for each meal during the meeting. Please indicate on the Registration Form which meals you plan to attend, or no reservation will be made for you for that meal.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

The Hilton Garden Inn is the headquarters for the KVMA Convention. The hotel is located at 410 S. 3rd Street, Manhattan, KS, 66502. The group rate for rooms is $109. To ensure availability at this rate, make your reservation no later than January 20, 2017. To make reservations, call 785-532-9116 and mention the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association meeting.

The Kansas Board of Veterinary Examiners requires a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education annually to renew licenses. KVMA Convention attendees will be able to obtain a maximum of 20 hours of CE credits per person out of a total offering of 40 credit hours: Friday (6.5), Saturday (8), Sunday (5.5). A CE certificate will be available at the conclusion of each day.
