Learning to LEED Last updated 07 Dec 2007 Learning to LEED is an intensive two-day course offered to design and construction professionals interested in passing the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Accredited Professional Exam. The course both facilitates exam preparation through slides, quizzes, study tips, and other resources, and provides the tools necessary for individuals to implement the LEED product suite as part of a design team.
Test-Taking Tips The LEED AP exam is difficult, but not impossible to pass when approached the correct way. Success is going to require a lot of memorization and practice. These tips should help you maximize your time and effort.
About the Exam 80 multiple choice questions timed to 2 hours Computer-based with the opportunity to skip or tag questions for future review 15-minute pre-test tutorial on the computer system 15-minute post-test survey Scored on a scale of 125-200, with passing being a 170 or above Costs $350 ($250 for individuals who are part of a USGBC member organization) Scores are provided immediately after the exam

How to Study Use the USGBC website's resources: Reference Guide, Scorecard, etc. Make or download flashcards for referenced standards, credit requirements, points and cutoffs, etc. Form a study group. Download blank quizzes and test questions from this site.
Registering for the Exam Create a free personal account at the USGBC website, www.usgbc.org. If your company or institution is a member, you can use their member ID to receive a discount on the exam ($350 down to $250).

http://www.cce.ufl.edu/LEED/tips.asp Obtain your Eligibility ID through your USGBC account. Then you can select your test site and enter your information. Don't forget to review the Candidate Handbook first to make sure you are familiar with policies for changing or missing a test date!
Taking the Exam Show up early -- about 30 minutes. Bring two forms of identification. Dress in layers. Pencils and paper will be provided. The test is computer-based. There is a 15-minute tutorial on how to use the system. Take advantage of it! RELAX!
