Medan Pasar,a place rich in cultural heritage and potential, stands at the crossroads of different human groups and lifestyles, shaping the city’s unique development. Initially, it was a small village along the Klang River, evolving into a bustling tin trading and gambling hub, eventually relocating to its current location near the central market. Thethree-storyshophousesinMedanPasarwerebuilttohousebanks, textileshops, grocers, andtraditionalmedicinalhalls.

However, today,MedanPasarfacesthreesignificantchallenges.Firstly, it suffers from disintegration, with each district serving specific functions, dispersing crowds and preventing centralization. Secondly, disconnection prevails as daily routines cause communities to overlook the importance of harmonization. Lastly, abandonment looms as new developmentsgraduallyovershadowculturalheritage.
