Hexagons can be oriented to form interesting sets of clusters enclosing open/green spaces for inflow of natural light. Easy Circulation is ensured.

Spacial Zoning ensures that safe distance is maintained between Staff areas and Isolation zone.

Expandable The structure can be reused as temporary accomodation facilities in case of tournaments, tourism events, slum rehabillitation etc. in post COVID era.

Incremental growth of Pods The aerial view of the proposed design showcases the On-site spacial layout, highighting the 1st phase of the construction & potencial phase development for future expansion. Repetitive & Modular nature of the structure makes it favourable for pop-up Models.

04 | Kumbharwada | Clay worker’s community

The housing demand and supply imbalance has widened significantly, and those who require shelter the most, the economically disadvantaged, have the fewest options available due to their low purchasing power.

Type - Mid Rise residential Low cost housing . Area - 7.2 Acres Site - Bhopa , Madhya Pradesh . Slum redevelopment Academic semester VI |Individual

Pampapur nagar slum is primarily populated by clay workers, government employees, and labourers who live in a low-lying, contoured terrain with inadequate living conditions and null opportunity in expanding and advertising there work , Kumbharwada aspires to create a livelihood-focused housing community for Pampapur nagar slum clay workers, as well as a microeconomic and self-sustaining society..

Kumbharwada | Low cost Housing

The current PMAY housing solution model provides the user with a decent living but lacks the necessary livelihood. To improve the user’s life, a skill-centric, micro-economic housing model should be established. Micro Economic housing model will enhance and strengthen the social and economical stature of economically weaker section of our society.

05 | Hauz Khas Village | Urban village

Base Map

After scrambling past its barrier and having set foot in South Delhi’s hippest neighbourhood of Hauz Khas Village, it’s easy to notice among its high facades, street art peeking out at odd angles and an array of signboards plastered on streetlamps advertising for its countless cafes, lounges and galleries packed into the bafflingly tight arrangement of houses. The sensation is instant; this space offers a markedly different experience than anywhere else in Delhi’s urban landscape.

Hauz Khas Village

Problem

Being an urban village , it falls under ‘Lal Dora’ , unavailaibility of any development regulation results into closely spaced structures , with only narrow lanes and streets .

29

Intervention

High facades hinders into the imagibility of the prevint and hence wayfinding intervention leads to an improved navigation ; Periscope helps in understanding the essence of the place in a never seen perspective .
