Dr Vukile D. Mgijima Dr Vukile D. Mgijima
Vukile Mgijima is a senior lecturer at Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) in Umlazi, Durban. He has been working at MUT for close to 10 years. He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a law degree (LLB) from Walter Sisulu University. Dr Mgijima is very passionate about teaching, learning and research. His research areas include multilingualism, translanguaging, and language teaching and learning; He is also passionate about the use of technology in education and keeps abreast of the latest advancements in educational technologies and their application to English Language Teaching (ELT). Dr Jugoo heads the academic Department of ICT at Mangosuthu University of Technology. He holds a PhD in Information Technology Education in Blended Learning and Action Research. Dr Jugoo has published in the areas of Data Science and Computer Science Education with focus in Computer Programming and problem solving. He is passionate about using innovative and effective approaches in teaching and learning in the online environment.
Prof Thenjiwe Meyiwa (PhD) Prof Tennyson Mgutshini (PhD)
Prof Thenjiwe Meyiwa is a Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation & Postgraduate Studies at the University of South Africa. She holds master’s and doctoral degrees in feminist oral studies and a Master of Commerce degree in systems and organisational development. Meyiwa has extensive experience in higher education, as a teacher, workshops facilitator, researcher and in administration. She has an impeccable academic, leadership and mentorship record with a strong focus on feminist scholarship and indigenous knowledge systems. She serves on various parastatals, community, and civil society organisations, such as the Rural Women’s Movement amongst others. She has authored several research articles, including co-publishing five books. Professor Tennyson Mgutshini has more than 19 years of extensive experience in research and scholarship development both as a project leader and facilitator on over 50 research-capacity building programs in the USA, UK, New Zealand, Uganda, Ethiopia, and South Africa. He is sought after as an independent consultant and has provided specialist support to more than half of South Africa’s universities in research skills development and with capacity development in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. As a professor working across a range of areas including Public Health, Business Management, Education and Health Psychology, he has successfully supervised more than 27 Doctoral and 40 Masters students to completion globally. He has published extensively and has edited /co-edited several texts.
