ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS - FACADES

The scheme promotes sustainable use of resources and the bamboo culture in the sponge park is a great example. A bamboo forest will be planted on the early day of the sponge par, to help decontaminate soil and form a new urban forest that will attract Hong Kongers. Parts can then be harvested, to be used in the building of scaffoldings (tradition) and tactical urbanism interventions to help create a sense of place from day 1. As the project develops, scaffoldings or unused pavilions can be recycled and the bamboo can be used as new architectural elements such as the facade of the tower. D.O 2 + D.O 3
