T OWN TALK €30K Prize Bonanza for Killarney Credit Union members

Una Sweeney from Killarney got a great surprise this week when she received a call from Killarney Credit Union to find out she had won a brand new Suzuki Swift in the Killarney Credit Union members draw.

Una picked up the keys of her new car from Shane Foley & Noreen O’Sullivan of Killarney Credit Union this week accompanied by family.

Speaking about the members draw, Karena McCarthy, Killarney Credit Union Marketing Officer stated “We currently have just over 2,400 members in the draw which is held twice a year. Our prizes include a new car and cash prizes ranging from €250 to €1,000.” she concluded.

Triple gold for Killarney cyclist at Transplant Games

Killarney’s Patrick O’Connor is a triple gold medal winner at the British Transplant Games.

Patrick won the 5km cycle time time and the 10k road race in Coventry last week.

Adding to his success, on Friday he also took gold in the 5km race walk, an event he entered for the first time. The Park Road resident has a hereditary kidney condition that was discovered around ten years ago and underwent a kidney transplant since.
