It’s one thing to have heaps of power under your right foot, but another to be able to get it to the ground in an effective way. More often than not, races are won or lost on the start line. Sending your tyres up in smoke it pointless unless you are in a burnout comp. Paul has put plenty of work into the underside of the Camaro to help it hook up when that green bulb flashes. The front end has been kitted out with “stored energy” Moroso springs and Competition Engineering 3-way adjustable shocks along with VT Commodore cross-drilled discs and AU Falcon calipers. Down at the business end, there’s a pair of 1-inch lowered split-mono Calvert leaf springs and 9-way adjustable Calvert shocks. HQ drum brakes provide the stopping power on the rear. As you can see, there’s plenty of adjustments both ends to suit any track condition Paul is faced with. Check out the track shots and tell me that this Camaro doesn’t hook up! Those pics were taken on an airstrip! Paul said he tends to get attached to the cars he builds but with that said, he isn’t ruling out the possibility of selling the Camaro if something catches his eye in the future. Maybe a Pro-Street ’57 Chev?
