I was over the moon to have been chosen to do the brief and taking it on I knew would be a huge challenge, however I don’t think I know how big this brief was. To begin with it was working out what needed to be done by when, keeping marketing in the know and managing my time right. 1/5
Kim Sandford OUGD303 Brief 6: End of Year Show Designing the artwork took the longest part of the brief. However we agreed and decided on the pastel colours and still kept the ‘revealed’ initial concept I had. These show the A1 posters that will be around Leeds on the poster stands. Then the A2 double sided prints to hand out to the public, and also the A6 postcards to put into gallery spaces and cafes etc around Leeds. 2/7
Kim Sandford OUGD303 Brief 6: End of Year Show The invitations are really exciting. I pitched 3 ideas to marketing for the designs of the invitations. One that was something I would love to do, one thats a bit of a comprimise and another that is really simple. Depending on the budget they could pick. And we are going with my favourite! It was to fold the a5 in half glue it together and perforate the front so that the receipiant would open it to ‘reveal’ the hidden student (however you still wouldn’t see their face). 3/7

Kim Sandford OUGD303 Brief 6: End of Year Show The folly designs were the main design of which had to link to designs sent out to promotional places such as Creative Review and also carry a lot of information. This year they wanted a panel about the workshops they are running. For this I decided to keep it simple and use the colour and design like the back of the A2 poster, therefore it will hold a lot of information and not look bad. 4/7

Kim Sandford OUGD303 Brief 6: End of Year Show Promotional material such as gif files to put on the Creative Review Website. A magazine section in Weatherby Races magazine and also North Leeds Life. The square below is also a design for the creative review magazine. Further more the series of square designs are for the Leeds College of Art website gif. 5/7
Kim Sandford OUGD303 Brief 6: End of Year Show Along with designing for Blenheim Walk, I also had designs for the outside of Vernon street. An idea I came up with was to put a vinyl sticker over the glass hand rail, and therefore from an angle as people walked up towards the doors they could be seen through the cut out type on the sticker. Also I had to design a panel for the opposing corner of the building to direct people to the entrance. 6/7
Kim Sandford OUGD303 Brief 6: End of Year Show For the web promotion I came up with the idea of making a cover photo of which students could put on their profile to promote the show. I also designed the profile picture for the college facebook page, of which is now being used on other webpages such as Tigerprint. 7/7
